Celebration ale is so good this year. Bursting with flavor.

Haha. It's black, but maybe not quite as dark as the picture indicated. I've got a bottle of Faithfull at home in the fridge.

I made my greatest one two order at the bar ever on Saturday.
Started out with Terrapin's Wake N Bake Stout and then ordered Sweetwater's Sticky Nugs
both are good, but Terrapin's Wake N Bake is a delicous stout that has hints of chocolate but not overpowering. I really like it and will be going back for more of that.

Again, I'm the poor bastard in Mizzip with the messed up ABV laws that can't get much of the good stuff, but I finally broke away and traveled to the lone beer store in the area that has some of the good stuff last Saturday.
I'll defnitely be going as often as I possibly can, but it is a 45 minute trip
I got...
Rogue Dead Guy Ale....quite enjoyable
Anchor Porter...holy shit that's good
Samuel Smith's Oatmeal Stout...friggin' delicious
I guess this one isn't really a craft beer but I also picked up some Franziskaner Weissbier which wasn't bad at all.
It's a damn shame that store isn't closer...but then again that may be a good thing for my liver, my wallet and my ability to hold down a steady job
All I have to do is revel in the everyday....then do it again tomorrow
They say every sin is deadly but I believe they may be wrong...I'm guilty of all seven and I don't feel too bad at all

I love the Dead Guy Ale and Oatmeal Stout that you mentioned...totally worth the 45 minute trip IMHO! Haven't tried the Anchor Porter yet, I'll add that to my wishlist
Is there any way that you can join some kind of beer club so it gets delivered directly to you or would that be in violation of the ABV laws?

Last night I drank a bottle of Troegs Dead Reckoning porter. It was good, really good. Nothing crazy or extreme as far as flavours go, just a really solid well made porter. I would totally buy more of this stuff too bad it is a seasonal and the store I bought it from is an hour and a half away and requires crossing the border into the US.

It is totally worth the trip...i'm actually kicking around the idea of going tomorrow afternoon since we'll be shutting down the office at noon.
And I'm not really sure about the beer clubs...I am aware of a few people who have joined them and apparently had no issues, but I'm not sure about the actual legality of it.
I'm looking forward to trying more of the Rogue beers, Anchor and many of the others they have.
What about Red Hook? Hows their stuff?

I just spent the last 20 mins reading the "Faithfull Ale...I just dont get it" thread on the Porch and realized why I never go over there anymore.
edit: no love for the SN Celebration Cliffy? I recommend that by the case.
edit2: I'll be drinking the final SN Bigfoot of 2011 tonight. Sad face.

Made another run to the store down the road Friday morning since I had the day off.
This time I got....
Rogue Mocha Porter
Sierra Nevada Stout
Bayou Teche LA 31 (dark roasted)
Atlanta Brewing Laughing Skull
All tasty selections me thought
Then on Saturday, thanks to the neverending kindness of a wonderful lady (and her husband) on the board, I received two bottles on Faithfull Ale...knocked the first one out that night and am going to TRY to hold onto the other for a special occasion. That is unlikely..i figure it won't make it past this weekend's obligatory boozing

Short set tonight. More of an EP of beers if you will.
Troegs Mad Elf Ale
Leinie Creamy Dark
Anchor Our Special Ale

One I've picked up on recently and now is available locally is Tommyknocker Maple Nut Brown....nice bit of a maple syrup finish...i like it
Also recently got the Covington Brewhouse (Louisiana) Strawberry Ale...which was nowhere near as bad as I thought it would be but still nothing i would go looking for. Didn't have the wine-coolery strawberry punch i feared, but more of a faint strawberry taste akin to the frozen strawberries granny also had. It was something different for sure

Go get this and drink it now.
Even the 8 is great but the warmth and depth of the 10 is just...
For me tonight
Split a Faithfull Ale
Dogfish Head 90 Minute
Bells Kalamazoo Stout
Cigar City IPA
Faithfull Ale is by far the worst.
Went to my beer store today and stocked up on a shit load of beer for the holidays. Bought a bottle of this. Very excited. Sounds awesome.
