Pretty boy! I've never been able to connect with black cats for some reason, probably on me and some subconscious energy I'm giving off.
When we adopted George, his second "hey, how you doing" appointment at the vet had us in the waiting room for a bit with two beautiful black-furred green-eyed siblings up for adoption.
They HATED me. I've no idea why and it actually hurt my feelings...what'd I do?
Love Shadow's long whiskers. For some reason it's hilarious to find the random one on the furniture, scratching post, pillow.

Scooter has crazy long whiskers, and he was trying to eat one he found.. He gagged himself.. Poor kitty!
Mrs. Hobbes has always had a fondness for black cats. Maybe because they're the least adopted cat and she feels sorry for them. Or maybe it's because she's a witch. She always gets upset at me for saying that. I come back with there are good witches and bad witches. You happen to be one of the good ones.

When I grew up, we always had black cats. I don't know why. I never fund anything weird about them. I only heard over here that they are the least adopted cat. Our last black one at my parents' place was Kalchas. She was the smallest one in the litter and two of her siblings had to be out to sleep and the momma too (they were a fall litter and momma got sick outside), but she grew to be a proud 18 years.
Now I have to deal with this special dame. She is plotting world domination, and not even hiding it.

OMG it's Fat Sebastian! While Sebastian was out of town for the summer, before Chance invaded my life, we had a squirrel for a little while. Not really "had" so much as "he broke in and made himself comfortable in a pile of clothes that were supposed to go to the Salvation army". The screen in the window is broken like the bottom corner isn't attached to the frame, and this little guy made his way in through there. It's especially impressive when you learn there is no tree or fire escape next to that window and I'm on the 5th floor. Sebastian came home and the squirrel never came back. I can only assume that the squirrel sniffed him or something when he tried to come into bed and decided he needed to find a new place to sleep ASAP. There was never a fight or any squirrel corpse or anything, so I have to assume Sebastian never even met him. The clothes went to the garbage instead of the Salvation Army after a couple days.
My "childhood" cat was all black, whiskers, pads, even a birthmark on the roof of her mouth. Yellow eyes. She was awesome. She got cancer though, unfortunately. She passed when I was 17 or 18. She used to wait for me to get out of the shower and then jump on the sink to rub herself on my wet hair. (I'm short). It never occurred to me to think of her any different cuz she was black.
I did get attacked by a black cat once. Which was particularly offensive since I used to put wet q tips on his butt to make him pee! and fed him from a bottle! The fucker. No, it wasn't his fault. He wasn't taken to get neutered in time and he reached that stage where he got territorial spraying the house and shit - and I walked in smelling like another boy cat (Sebastian had a thing for my coat at the time, and my stupid ass wouldn't learn to hang it up) so he kinda lost his shit, swinging from my leg like a damn curtain. We finally got him off me and there was a trail of my blood through the whole apartment to the bathroom where I had to be sequestered while my wounds got tended to. I had to wear my friends clothes after that, even wore the shorts home cuz my jeans were covered in blood. NOW every time I see that cat he tries to make out with me. I love him to tiny little pieces.
The 'praying' kitty is experiencing distress. That is like the mild equivalent of a breakdown.. Yet he simply for hit that going to the side or Diagnaly was an option. Meanwhile the kitty in the bottom left corner, experiences a need to remain secure, in his own box.. The others continually seek an out. Interesting! As the second group, once one finds the exit, the general rest follow. Very neat to watch!
Did you get the blase "yeah, so?" face from him as you discovered this?
If it makes you feel any better, I have avoided three separate incidents this evening of Beans going for my ankles out of the blue.
AND yet again, husband laughs.

Let's face it, vitamins are stinky and they taste bad to boot. So what is it with my cat wanting to steal my vitamins? It's not like she isn't well nourished. I give here the healthiest cat food money can buy (to my knowledge anyway) and still, she want to steal my vitamins. I thought I'd teach her a lesson and let her chew on a few. She went ape shit like they were the in ultimate cat treats. What's with THAT?

There is a kitty in my neighborhood that has a tag that says I'm a wanderer, and has his address on it...and then he has another tag that has his name, his name is "Pan The Amazing Ginger Kitty" lol he's soooooo cute! He looks just like my Tabby Lu, only all ginger, but similar markings and swirls and the same eyes and nose. He likes to follow me and my doggies when we go on walks and the other day he thought he'd invite himself right into my house....lol I just think he's sooo cute, I will have to try to get a pic of him to share...

I love ginger cats, no matter how much ginger in the fur.
A little while back, went to the pet store to pick up some food. They had this little ginger princess up for adoption there named Sunshine Sally!! What a great name! Almost went home with me. For days after, she was on my mind. Just wasn't the right time for a new kitty. Aaargh!!!
Hope you found your forever home, Sunshine Sally.

Aw, that just tugs at the heart when you fall in love like that. But it's the right thing for them and you/your family when you realize the timing is off. It won't be for someone else.

Dave, that klepto cat looks surly! I saw a story on My Cat From Hell about a similar kitty. Bras, laundry, toys, brought 'em all home.
Felines of all kinds are so odd, neurotic, utterly gorgeous and funny as hell.
Mr. Pickles was a ginger too. And Werner, my late kitty in Germany. They are awesome. We are still battling post-antibiotic diarrhea over here. she does not like the probiotic stuff, doesn't touch the food when it is in there, and I don't wanna pill-shoot her more. Kitten seems to be better, but time will tell. I still think she is allergic to something in the house. At least she is not coughing and sneezing all the time anymore. I am secretly optimistic.

Was is a multivitamin or a distinct grade? I ask, because with the multivitamins, and dime E,D, B grade vitamins will have a filler of fish oils in them. My cat lIves the multivitamins, because I get the ones with Krill and fish oils in them. That is my only guess??
I got up in the middle of the night and couldn't sleep so I went for a glass of water and when I came back Sebastian took his place in the middle of the bed and was snoring.
