I guess I could have put him in the bathroom first. But he had taken a long ride up from Texas and I didn't want to confine him. Daisy was ok with it. She didn't hiss or growl at him once. So, it worked out ok. They were fine.

I guess I could have put him in the bathroom first. But he had taken a long ride up from Texas and I didn't want to confine him. Daisy was ok with it. She didn't hiss or growl at him once. So, it worked out ok. They were fine.
Wow, got him all the way from Texas? Damn! Well glad she didn't hiss. My cats literally just came face to face. Kyra just meowed/hissed at her but didn't physically do anything so that's a good start! I did separate them just in case though.

That is great that you are starting to introduce them. I knew Daisy wouldn't hiss. She is even ok around my neighbor's dog. In Texas and some of the other Southern states they are overrun with stray cats and kittens, and dogs, so some of the rescues up here work with fosters down there, and they will transport the animals up North. The actual rescue where I picked Lukin up was in NJ, but he was found and fostered in Texas, and the rescue had him driven up in a van full of other rescue dogs and cats for a two day drive from Texas to NJ. I was just happy he got here ok. Keep us posted on the new little girl. She is adorable.

Willow, my first cat, was like that. She wasn't bothered by other cats, dogs or people. Only thing she didn't care for was loud noises (hated the vacuum cleaner).

not sure on a name yet. Her foster parents named her Bobbie, but i'm not feeling that at all. My other calico's were Kali, Kyra and Kia so I'm thinking of something that starts with a "K", Maybe something like Kierra, Kaylee, or Kaitlyn? Kyra knew something was up the day before I got her. she was acting a little different than normal. Right now the kitten is in the bathroom so they can get used to each other. Kyra's been hissing but nothing too bad. They know each other is around.
The kitten is used to other cats so that is good. She's very young and tiny (like 6 months old). Which I didn't even realize how small she was until I got her home. She is technically spayed. The vet couldn't remove her ovary cause it was too close to her kidney. She can't get pregnant but she can go into heat.
And she’s in heat now. Kinda weird to see/hear. Constantly has her butt in the air and meowing a lot. Not quite sure how long it lasts or what I can do to help yet. Guess I can google that
also leaning towards Kylie as a name.
