Thanks for clearing that up. I didn't know that about Comcast. But that being said if the deal is up in a few years, the Phillies certainly would have the leverage on their side based on the last few years and if the Oswalt deal works out like they hope, that only adds more leverage (at least my opinion, I have no idea what negotiations for TV rights are like).

Not that I know what tv negotiations are like but would they have leverage over a company that just bought NBC?

that's a good point, but since they negotiated that deal when they were bad, a run of success might help a little, but what do I know?

That's funny. I read an article that was about the Phillies RSN ratings and such, and an executive speaking on anonymity said "you'd be surprised how little they pay in revenue sharing". I could be mistaken, and it could be meant towards the league.

True, it will help a little, but it's not like the Phils have other options on where to go or could go and start their own cable network.

I think sending Ed Wade to Houston was the plan all along. Send one inept GM to another city to become our farm system.

No idea what teams look for but this guy needs to go somewhere where he can play:

Leads AA in hitting and is obviously blocked in the majors

keith law chat today...I'd absolutely try to move this guy for a bullpen piece

Brian (Philly)Has Rizzotti's stock gone up considering that he is leading the Eastern League in a lot of categories?

KlawHe's 24, not very athletic, limited to 1b/dh. Has some value, but I don't think many teams are going to project him as more than a fringe regular. More value today than he had in April, certainly.

I'm an idiot. I kept saying the Phils are playing the Marlins this weekend. Washington, it's Washington, and I'm an idiot. So Oswalt, Blanton, Hamels in DC. We better take 2, if not sweep.

And we're not facing Strasburg. Time to start winning some road games.

isn't it refreshing to see us all agree on something here?

this was a pretty damn good way for amaro to redeem himself.
