and dare i say.....all aboard  the man is on a tear right now...

stop. howard had nothing to do with this win. nothing

I like Rocky II the best of all of them because he wins. I'd order them II, I, III/IV are the same to me. I love the one liners from the last two. Don't know which character is funnier, clubber lang or drago.

come ere woman, I'll show you a real man. prediction, you want my prediction (camera zooms in on T's face). PAAAAIN.

I must break you. If he dies, he dies

And that in itself makes it a classic. You will never find two men run on the beach better together.

    We wan.

god awful. it was god awful. i like rocky movies for the quality...not for the "its so bad its good" ish of it

Pfft. Are you serious? If you're going by those guidelines, then only the first two fall in that category.

the first two were clearly the best....but IV was a legitamte good movie as well. it had 80's cheese to it, sure. but it wasn't overly stupid and filled with dumb cameos like hulk hogan and mr t. come on man..

No, you're right. Rocky IV was completely believable.

And as for cameos - I guess James Brown coming down from the sky doesn't count. III and IV are equal in cheese factor. IV just touched a nerve because Sly had the attention to build a Red Army storyline into the movie. How else was he going to make even more money than the previous three movies?

    LIVIN' IN AMERICAAAAAA

    you said III though.

either way, the robot would be waaaaay better than wheels. they could even put wheels' toupe on it's head.

haha, fair enough, but the greatest movie ever made?

I hate when people say 'The Godfather'. Too predictable.

For sure, it was great but I think The Godfather 2 was pretty fucking incredible as well. Goodfellas has to be on the list. One of my favorite movies of all time is 25th Hour, not really in that league but fucking fantastic.

he's the only guy hitting. polanco makes a guest appearance every now and then, but it's been mostly howard for the last 1.5 months.

he had nothing to do with today's win though

Dude, 25th Hour is in my frequent rotation...."I want you to fuck me up." Awesome scene, as well as the one where he's going off in the mirror 'Do The Right Thing'-style.

And I agree that GF2 is better than 1. Also, more of a Casino fan than Goodfellas.

My own personal top 5 has Jaws at #1. And it'll always be that way for me. My top five is a favorite thing though and not just an arbitrary list.

I'll probably get ripped for this, but fuck it. my favorite movie is swingers. Pulp Fiction probably 2nd. Even though it's kinda gay Good Will Hunting would prob be in my top 5 too.

Nothing wrong with Swingers. All the movies mentioned here so far are all movies that if on TV, I'm stopping what I'm doing and watching it.

the 25th hour can go to hell. that was a fucking great movie until the last 30 minutes when spike lee completely lost his mind. the whole 9/11 thing seemed way to forced for me.

i remember walking out of the theater legitametly pissed that he screwed up the ending so badly..

Gotta admit I've never even heard of 25th Hour. I'm far from a movie buff, so that doesn't mean much. I'll have to check it out.

Here you go...Cliff, you're not gonna like this one

I somehow forgot about Casino, yeah, that is right there. I probably agree with you about that being better than Goodfellas.

Yeah, the monologue in 25th hour is probably my favorite scene in any movie.

I don't care what anyone says, but this is my Top 5 and its mostly based on re-watchability, sentimental value, and, well, pure genius. There's only two movies on here that aren't comedies....

    1. Jaws
    2. Big Lebowski
    3. Ghostbusters
    4. City of God(if you haven't seen this, then you are a sucker)
    5. Back To The Future

25th Hour is great. Check it out immediately.

I don't mind that. I agree to be honest. The contract sucks but I do think that the Yanks are going to make a shit load of money off him if he stays healthy. It's a terrible contract, no two ways about it. He has been worth it so far but yeah, he is only getting older.

Cliff, thanks for posting that. Just spent the last 5 minutes smiling watching that.

Spike Lee's best work was 'Do The Right Thing' then 25th.

Always remind me of this scene he did...
