Does anyone even know when Jimmy's supposed to be back? I'm assuming they put him back on the 15 DL after finishing up the first stint. So does that put him at the end of the month or something?

if everything goes well in clearwater this week (he's supposed to play his first game tonight)...he will be in the phils lineup on saturday.

Actually, the dude was down the shore - mixup in communication. I'm suppose to talk to him tonight and see how that goes. And I hope it goes well because I'm running on fumes right now.

That could've easily been a horrid AB by Raul, but he turned it around.

BIGGEST STAT that pisses me off about Howard - league percentage avg. of scoring a runner from third with less than two outs: 57%. Howard: 33%. Now THAT is absolutely terrible.

As per what? Like I said before, I don't mind homer announcers. What I DO mind are announcers that mindlessly tow the company line, as McCarthy and Wheels do. I consider LA and Frankzke homers, but they're awesome because they let their true personalities shine through on the radio. And with that, they know when the team sucks they say it.

What sucks more than anything is Wheels is here until he dies, and I'm fearful for the same for McCarthy.

I might start up one of these cute Facebook sites that the kids do nowadays - something along the lines of "Put LA and Franzke on TV", and "Fire Wheels and McCarthy". I'm sure that'll change things.

And another thing, why wouldn't you play Francisco in the outfield and put Raul in the DH? I don't know how you don't do this every time you're in an American League ballpark against a lefty.

Can't say that I don't have passing thoughts of this.....but it's a long season. It took runs at the end of the year to win the division in 2007 and 2008 so it looks like that's what has to happen. The Mets will falter as usual. It's a two team race with Philly and Atlanta.
