    Spider Man Homecoming

Thought overall it was pretty good.  Nothing great, but I always liked Spidey and thought it was a good mix up. (Liked MJ as well.)

The Dressmaker - loved it.  Quintessentially quirky, genre-busting Aussie film.  Stellar cast and acting.
One of my favourite movies, very quirky! :)

Yes, one of the best Aussie films. Kate Winslet was brilliant in this and so was Liam Hemsworth, who I didn't think could pull off acting with Winslet
    I saw this movie
    Liked it
    Enjoyed it
    Not blown away by it
    Must be an Aussie  thing

The Barkley Marathons: The Race That Eats Its Young

Documentary about this hellish race in the woods in eastern Tennessee. I wish they would have spent more time on the trail with the "runners" but overall it was pretty interesting. In the 30+ years this race has been going on, only something like 15 people have finished the full thing. I found it on Netflix in case anyone cares enough to watch.
I read the Esquire feature about these races (http://www.esquire.com/lifestyle/health/a55986/barkley-marathons/). It would be interesting to hear the voices of some of the people profiled in it—especially Lazarus Lake.

    Central Intelligence
The documentary covered the 2012 race, so the runners are different than the ones profiled in the article. I'd imagine that if you participate a couple years in a row, you just get to a point where you couldn't and wouldn't want to anymore. Laz sounds like you'd expect, or at least how I expected based on knowing some Appalachian mountain folks and traveling through Tennessee.

    Brawl in Cell Block 99

    Intense.
I watched this today, cheesy ass fight scenes.  It kind of reminded me of those 70's karate movies.

Watched the Color Purple tonight.  Love this movie.  Still makes me cry no matter how many times I see it. Can you believe that it's been 33 years since it was released?  The first feature film for both Whoopi and Oprah.

Maze Runner - The Death Cure. I wasn't a fan of the second instalment (Scroch Trials) but took my kids to see this one, as they wanted to see it. It was better than the second one, which wouldn't be hard. Overall, it was watchable, but not very good

Looper. Again. Fuck I need to start keeping a list of movies I have watched so I don't watch them again. the ending was equally as stupid and unbelievable as it was the first time I watched it.

I did. i was pleasantly surprised by the plot, however, the ending was a little too neat and tidy.

It is a nice romantic ending, lol... Although sometimes I need that - there are a lot of dark and messy endings these days. I thought Jennifer Lawrence was super good in this movie - quite funny.

I actually thought they both acted very well in it. But every time I see her in a movie, I can't get those leaked photos out of my head!

it IS a nice romantic ending. I just thought it happened too quickly to be believable.

    ***SPOILER ALERT****

I mean, he went from crazy obsessive super-delusional estranged husband to all of a sudden getting over her? Come on.

Well, delusions about exes really can change really fast. I've seen it happen in real life. When the obsession isn't based on anything good or real, that false reality can crumble pretty easily. So I didn't find it too unrealistic.
