Hey its not right booing any nation anthem but the Habs fans did boo the Star Spangled Banner, so you can't just point fingers at Flyers fans.
If I was in the arena when the fucks (Canadian and American) were booing the respective anthems I'd be giving them an earful. Philadelphia was louder ;)

Interesting to note that both crowds were reminded to show a little respect beforehand. Montreal stopped booing but kept chanting...

And from what I heard, the Flyers fans chanted USA for the most part.... and Philadelphia is always louder and better crowd ;)

Yeah, nothing like chanting USA when your Canadian players are winning games ;)

I dunno if booing louder is a better thing.

This is what makes me despise officiating in this league:
"Originally, he was going to give me 2 and then he saw a trickle of blood and made it 5. One thing Mike Knuble said to me was if they had been calling that all year, then guys like me and [Boston's Zdeno] Chara would never be able to play." - Hatcher

So if he doesn't bleed its only a 2 minute minor... but with blood it makes it a 5 and a game??? That's bullshit!! There is a reason for the double minor penalty and it should be used. Fuck that's what pisses me off about the whole 2 for a high stick unless the guy bleeds and then its 4.... ridiculous.

    I know its pathetic

The dude pops right up and shoves Hatch so obviously he wasn't hurt

In the old days rightly or wrongly a guy had to be airlifted off the ice in the playoffs for a team to get a 5 min major penalty and a game !

    The officials are so inconsistent

The Montreal player was basically minding his business

hahahaha that made me laugh almost as much as the commentators last night explaining Kukonen's holding the stick penalty while you could see in the replay the cross checks he was taking in the back....

Because they gave the roughing penalty to Lapierre instead. Why not penalize the whole line cause they were all in the corner? Why didn't Richards get a penalty for elbowing Halak?

And Montreal did get a too many men penalty to whoever said they didn't..

Lapierre got a rough because he threw 5 punches at Downie.... so still no call on Begin.

What about the other 2 guys per team pushing and punching in the corner?

Anyone think if we had the same officials for a whole series this mess would be any better ?

At least the officiating would be more consistent and they would know the players and their tendancies and everything

You can call all of them... or you could call the major offenders and the guy who jumps from his skates, grabs a player around the neck and pulls him to the ice... last time I checked they were playing hockey and not Professional Cattle Roping on Ice.

Nope. Almost every game of every series has been reffed poorly so far.

So they didn't call Begin's wrastlin. Hardly the only blown obvious call.

yes and no.... they would call the game tight early and try to dispel anything that would break out but the players would know what to expect and what was and was not a penalty.

Now you have officials just coming in with an advance report of what occurred between who and looking for certain things.... and players having no idea what to expect.

HaHa !! Gotta Love it !

From Roy MacGregor, national sports columnist for the Toronto Globe and Mail: "There was no need of the scoreboard announcer welcoming 'the most intimidating fans in hockey' to the Wachovia Center. They know who they are - a crowd that would have made the lions wet themselves in Nero's Rome."

    LET'S GO FLYERS !!!

I'd rather see Knuble in the line up than Downie any day of the week.
