I agree. I mean, I can certainly sympathize with GTD... we all have certain issues with ourselves and go through periods where the self-esteem might not be sky-high. But time and time again, people here have tried to help and offer suggestions only to be met with excuses and reasons why "that" won't work...

If you want to rant, fine. Open up a Word document and pour it out. But people here have offered up some great suggestions and they get continually dismissed. I'd also think about getting some help, even if it's just to talk to someone (insurance will more than likely cover it, so no $$$$$ excuses ) about this stuff... it's not healthy.

I don't know you and I've never seen a picture. But I can't for one second believe that you're the Quasimodo that you paint yourself to be. But guess what? If that's what you think of yourself, it's the way people are going to see you.

dude, that is just unnecessary. I am the LEAST "poor me" person I have ever met. I take complete responsibility for everything I do right or wrong in my life. I am CONSTANTLY forcing myself to improve in every area of life. I would really tell you off right now if it were allowed. I love how you are high and mighty enough to judge me negatively for no reason at all. What have I said in this thread that harms you or anyone else? (and therefore would justify you bashing my character as you have).

(and I really hate how on this board people can sit there and bash someone's character just because for whatever reason they don't like you and yet you can't say anything in rebuttal without getting banned. I think someone should ban purplechick- isn't what she just said to me akin to "name calling"?)

That might be part of the problem right there. Everything was constantly focused on getting through school with a 4.0... then it was getting in shape... then it was getting a job... then it was finding a boyfriend... then it was getting back in shape... then it's having a meltdown because you don't want to go out with friends because someone might see you and hating yourself because of it... it seems that it all stems from some crazy belief that you're not good enough.

That's where talking to a professional might come in. I'm not saying this to be mean or pile on, but there's got to be something more deep-rooted than "oh, i'm a few pounds overweight". Hell, if that's it, join the fucking club. I've been a charter member of that one for 15 years.

This is true GTD... I'm FAR from having a go at you... I like you! BUT your low self esteem is unwarranted and unnecessary. The 'issues' you talk about can't be the real issues at all... you need to learn to have a sunnier outlook on life and just enjoy it... cos before you know it, it's over :(
