Thank God Ohio State is hopefully out of the BCS picture now. They have a good team, but the Big ten, Big East, and the ACC do not have any elite teams. All the power is in the SEC and Big 12.

i am glad ohio state is out of the national championship hunt. they need a season without that pressure to focus on getting back to playing good football out of the spotlight.

though i disagree with your last statement. i think usc would manhandle anyone in college football, sec or big 12. i'm willing to bet they play oklahoma or missouri in the national championship.

True, but outside of USC, I don't see anyone else in the PAC 10 as anything special. Oregon almost lost to Purdue who is a middle of the pac Big 10 team. Arizona State plays Georgia, but UGA has not looked as good a Florida, LSU, or even Alabama yet. And I still think UGA will beat them. I think Ohio State would lose to all 4 of the top SEC teams, and probably Oklahoma, Texas, and Missouri. I am just saying the SEC is loaded as usuall and the Big 12 looks deep as well.

that i would agree with. the pac-10 does look like the big ten has the last few years... mediocre teams with one elite team at the top. the difference being that the pac-10's elite team actually delivered in big games.

Yeah In a strait up opinion poll based on what we've seen It's pretty impossible not to rate USC #1 and Oklahoma #2

Georgia has some work to do on the lines and at safety and their receivers have to prove they can consistantly catch the football.

Florida needs to prove their defense is worth a crap against a good offense and they need to find a running back not named Harvin or Tebow.
My Girlfriend said to me..."How many guitars do you need?" and I replied...."How many pairs of shoes do you need?" She got really quiet.

I agree, USC probably has 15 of their starters or more that are going to get drafted by the NFL, they just have to not choke down the stretch(Stanford part 2). I can't wait to see Oklahoma play Texas and Missouri. Ohio State has a lot of talent, but the conference is just down right now, at least Wisconson won. The SEC is going to knock each other off. It should start to get interesting now.

  • I'm sorry, but how in the hell does beating 2 I-AA teams gets you into the top 25? I'm looking at you Florida State.... enjoy being ranked until you get beat by Wake Forest and Miami.

Lots of big games with SEC teams this weekend.

  • Florida whoops up on the Vols for a 2nd year in a row... nice to see Urban Meyer getting Emmanuel Moody some playing time.

The Miami Hurricanes embarassed Texas A&M at home and FSU lost horribly to Wake Forest, so I'm quite looking forward to seeing Miami kill FSU down in Miami.

ohio state looked embarrassingly sloppy for the third straight week. they struggled against another clearly inferior team. though pryor did look pretty damn good, considering it was his first ever start. they badly need beanie back. they just seem to have no spark, no confidence. tressel needs to do something to get these guys fired up or they are going to get destroyed in big ten play. it is not nearly as soft this season as it has been the past few.

I am not totally surprised UGA lost, but i'm surprised at how easily Bama controlled the line of scrimage.

Some great games this weekend with Ole Miss shocking the swamp, UNC takign the ball away in the last seconds of the game to win, Maryland beating clemson, beavers beating up USC. Lots of great games and it isnt even october yet :)
