The pens have only lost one game so far so they definately belong here. The flyers were very lucky to win the caps series. Especially with the goal that should have been called back in the 7th game.

    Lucky ??

So the Canadians series was luck to ??

Winning in 5 games....real luck there

    Riiiiiiiggggghhhhhhhttttttttttt...

So that's why we lose a 1-0 game on the road.

    I get it now.

    And sit a Healthy Crysby

You can't deny the team didnt want to face the Flyers in the 1st round

At that point in the season when the playoffs were starting the series would have been more competitive

I agree with what rygar said, it was more of wanting to play a banged up ottawa team and to get revenge on them after last year's playoff massacre. And they were just trying to get to the playoffs healthy. That last game was meaningless to them. It was not a fear of the flyers. what's to fear? mike richards is the only flyer to show me anything this series. If they drew you guys in the first round i'm sure they could have cared less and you would have had a lot less hockey to watch.

i'm not one to rub it in after going up 3-0 but i am real tired of this penguins were ducking the flyers bullshit. Even with Timmonen you would be in the same situation.

Sure you can deny it. Nothing to do with you and everything to do with Ottawa. You're right about the competitive aspect, but it's doubtful the penguins were scared of anyone....

    No that wasn't luck.
But she didn't mention that series, did she? ;)

    Healthy?

He's still not 100% even though he wants everyone to think he is.

Keep in mind that he was "100%" last year and had a broken foot.

And the last I checked the Pens had a pretty good record without Crosby in the lineup, and unless they had 0 shots on goal in that game, then you are in fact, delusional.

I'd tend to disagree with this statement. Timmonen brings alot more than just another defenseman to this team. He plays in every situation and leads the breakout when on the ice, as well as being a calming factor back on the blue line. So his absense is alot bigger than most people would like to admit.

Maybe so,it was a fortunate break for the pens. it's all speculation on what could have happened with Timmonen so i'll stick with my thoughts of the penguins winning anyway.

A chance to clinch the top seed in the Conference is reason enough to play

He played prior to the Flyers game

0-8 on the PP that game ? That's not a common stat

We will just disagree on this

Pretty fast paced game so far. Mistakes all over the ice lead to fun hockey.
11-6 the shots in favor of pittsburgh and they're losing 2-0. Reminds me of a certain team I cheer for :D
  • Just a speed bump on the quest.
Philly played inspired at first then typically dirty at the end. How anybody can like that team is a mystery to me. Upshall is a joke.
    It ends sunday.

Ruutu is as I like to call him "Mr.Clean" as well

Pens fans don't take to losing to well and get bitchy like their "Captain"
