Can you imagine if the Phills go out and land Manny!!! With or without giving up Burrell that would be a SICK lineup:

    Rollins, Utley, Manny, Howard, Burrell.

I am a Yanks fan so i would love to get Manny out of the AL East.
Hey, you wouldn't hire a clown to fix a leak in the jon so why do you let these hooligans tear down the biz? YEEAAHHH. I don't care if he is Mr. Notorious BIG, can he croon?

No thanks... there is no way the Phils get Manny and I'm happy with that.

I don't think they will get him either but being a Yanks fan it is win - win if he goes to the Phils. Its gets Manny out of the AL East and put a ton of fear into the Muts.

Thank god we sent Eaton down. Hopefully, he never sees the majors in a Phillies' uniform again. We should have kept Happ up when Myers came back anyhow.

hopefully happ can be as effective in the pen as he was when he started here. We need to get back to beating the shit out the ball like we were early on. I think the pitching has been o.k. And with that O thats all we should need to win the east.
    Go Birds!!!!

Lidge almost pulled a "Billy Wagner" last night and blew a save, made me nervous. But somehow he pulled it out. Key series against the Marlins this week.

    Go Phils!!!

Eaton got shelled in AA last night. The man should just pursue a new career.

Nice outing by Kendrick last night. Let's win today, and keep our 3 game lead going into the weekend series against the Bucs. Hopefully the Mets and Marlins beat each other up this weekend.

    Its our division to lose.

They think that because he is so good, he can keep the other team scoreless and drive in at least one run himself... ;)

Hope our offense steps it up in the last 2 innings. Thank god for Game Cast. Makes work go by a little quicker.

Why is Clay Condrey even on a Major League squad

    Touche. Let's try it again...

Why is Shane Victorino even on a Major League team?

    ;)

Really? All he does is get on base...He's got a 12 hitting streak, he's got 26 SB's, and he's 8th in the leage in Runs....And he's a better lead-off hitter than Rollins...He actually works counts and does whatever need be (i.e. base hit bunts) to get on base. The exact opposite is the impatient Rollins who can't look at more than 1 pitch in a row before using his uppercut swing to drive the ball over the wall instead of slapping at the ball for opposite field hits. That's what a lead-off hitter is suppose to do - oh, and Victorino will try and walk. Rollins should be batting second or third. Look, I love Rollins but unless but he should not be leading off. It should go Shane, Jimmy, Chase. If Shane and Jimmy continuously get on base they will win a lot, but when your former MVP is still living in last year and not turning it up a notch and making the pitcher work you're never gonna get anything out of him. To think this all started with one question about Shane-O....

First in homers, RBI's and has a batting avg. well over .330 w/ RISP. I'll take that with the strikeouts any day of the week.

It was a joke. I originally said "Why is Clay Condrey on a major league team" and he just pitched a 1-2-3 inning.

Was hoping the same luck would work with Victorino, and it did, he got a double.

If he was a DH, I could wholeheartedly agree... however, the strikeouts coupled with his terrible fielding percentage is a huge liability, especially for $10 million plus a year. I like the guy but you have to be realistic with what he brings to the table both good and bad.

Phewwww.... Yeah, I'm a proud supporter of the Kean-O as you can fully see... Though joke or not, Condrey still blows....Him and Madson only pitch well when the team is already behind...They can't do shit when they come into the game with a 2 run lead and a guy on second.

EDIT: By Kean-O I meant Shane...As in "I'm so keeno for Shane Victorino! Such a delicious cuisine-o, fit for king and queen-o!"....Try singin it, it'll catch on...I think I'm gonna make shirts of it with a picture of Beefareeno on the front with Shane's picture in the middle of the can.

Yeah, but his pro's still outweigh his con's... You're right though, his fielding will cost us a few games, but I'll take that for his offense. I sure as hell don't wanna see him with any other team, unless we got someone better than him offensively to take his place. He totally fucked us on that first game of this series. Bad bad baaaad fielding....Is anyone actually watching the game right now? I gotta watch the stupid play-by-play at work.... What the hell's with this team...No runs, a shit load of runs, no runs, etc. etc. Ridiculous. They do not need pitching, they need more average hitting players. I wish Dobbs was a lot better defensively.

I'd trade him in a heartbeat for a solid young number 1 or 2 starter and an average 1st baseman.

Stuck at work so gamecast it is for me... but it looks horrible.

Game cast for me as well.

So, we just acquired Scott Eyre from the Cubs. Looks like I may get my wish, bye bye Condrey!

Definitely would make that move, but A)pitching's hard to come by and B) #1 and #2 prospects don't always work out. I always thought Eric Chavez would be the perfect third baseman for this team. I wouldn't even play Jenkins right now even if it is a right-handed pitcher out there. I'd rather have Werth go every day. Hell, I know he's not Rowand, but Aaron played everyday even against right-handers. Jenkins was a terrible signing.

We got Eyre? I don't know who's worse though. The dude was optioned to AAA and has an ERA of like 7.00 doesn't he?

nope.. back to minors JA Happ.... which I think is good in the long run. Never know when a solid young starting lefty can help you late in a season or next year :: hint hint :: find a spot in the rotation for the kid.

This sucks - I don't wanna sound like a douche, but I feel like this team is fucked. It's this simple, if Rollins, Utley and Howard aren't hitting it's not gonna matter. It's not even that the Marlins or Mets pitching is good, it's that our entire lineup barring a few exceptions are a totally inpatient lineup. And I'm totally surprised by Utley because of this as well. This dude used to work the shit outta counts and tear pitchers hearts out, but as of late I haven't seen that from him.

The Phillies website is a good place because you can print the tix off right there. If not, you can always get General Admission at the box office on game day.

Well, we paid retribution to the Dodgers for last week. Nice job holding Manny to 2 hits over 4 games, and the Dodgers to just 5 runs over the 4 games.

Big 6 games ahead of us, 2 against the hated Mets, and 4 against Chicago... I wish it was Hamels going against Santana tomorrow, but it may not be a bad idea having him start the Chicago series either.

Hopefully we can knock Santana out by the 7th and get to the Mets' bullpen.

    Go Phils!

I was at the game on Sunday night. That was awesome.

We should've got smoked last night. That was just a bad showing by LA. How do you leave that many men on base and have that many hits and not score? Wow. But, it's all good. Tough stretch comin up.
