yeah, that sucks. but it definitely hurts more that they had so many missed opportunities. it's frustrating because they could have won that game. werth, who never had an error in the regular season.... they were so sloppy. j-roll 0-5. ugh, this one hurts.

thats because it wasnt a balk...maybe if you were paying attention to the game last night (if you even watched it) and noticed that everyone inlcuding the announcers couldnt believe the 2 calls! McCarver called it the worst call he's ever seen..the balk was borderline at best

So can I ask a non-slanted question to Phillies fans? Ryan Howard... What is his deal? Is he just in a huge slump right at the worst time? Is he a mental case like A Rod and can't perform in the post-season? What?
To me it looks like the man cannot adjust to a breaking ball, and has the same EXACT swing for every pitch. Can he go the other way, or does he basically just keep flailing his HR swing and wait for a fastball to come right down Broadway?
