Seriously, not to be a dick, but The Who are no longer the same and Roger sounds like absolute shit. Granted Pete still tears it up, but it is no way worth missing the World Series.

Not to mention half the band is dead, and I LOVE The Who but this is like watching Ali box now.

to each his own, but Pete Townshend is my favorite man in the whole world, I'm not missing it

the scheduling turned out to be unfortunate, but I'm still not missing it

For some reason, even though it was the first inning, when Utley hit that home run, I kind of just knew they were going to win.

My parents'...My dad works night-shift so my mom had no one to watch the game with so I went up there....Usually it's my place or Irish Pub, but I thought I could make an exception...but either way, yada yada yada 13 Miller Lites later and I'm 20 minutes late for work. I was drinking just to calm my nerves. Thank God they got those two runs early.

That feeling is exactly what makes post season baseball the best sport there is.

Of course listening to Harry and Wheels makes the game more calming. ;) I have to give props to 1210 to synching their feed with the tv feed. Listening to the Phillies announcers is way better than Buck and McCarver.

Yep, I went on 1210's website last night before the game to listen to the pregame show and there was a blurb on the site saying you can't listen to the game over the internet, but that the radio feed for 1210 would be in sync with the Comcast Cable Digital feed. It was and it made the game much more enjoyable.

Sweet. Some things about last night while I'm not at all concentrated on work and some inane ramblings come out.....That was THE WORST National Anthem of all time....Ryan Howard is absolutely lost at the plate...Mad props to the Philly fans - that roar during Utley's home run was amazing....Jimmy Rollins has terrible pitch selection...Pete Happy is shortening up...Burrell looked good at the plate even though he didn't get a hit....Shane was wayyyy too agressive last night at the plate and on the base paths - How do you tag on a catch that could've been made by the SS, and on a CF who throws from deep center to home like a pitcher?...Cole Hamels is making an early claim to be the best Phils post-season pitcher of all time...Play Dobbs at 3rd and put Stairs in the DH - even though Feliz is great defensively, but it's time to press with the offense...Utley is back.

I've been listening to 1210 since game 3 of the NLCS because Buck and McCarver are fucking idiots..... It was nice that they had Harry do the 8th and 9th for game 5 of the NLCS.

Ohhh and I was only 1 1/2 hours late for work... combination of things but somewhat due to Phils game :D

Definitely...but that's cause he shortened up and just tried to punch the ball. Something Howard should try....Against lefties anything that even looks close middle-out he shouldn't even be going after it, even if he strikes out looking. He should just be looking middle to middle-in.

gotta disagree with 2 points.... Shane has to tag on that play... he makes Upton make a perfect throw and its still a bang bang play... I love that kind of aggressiveness on the base pads... and if that throw is anywhere else, Shane is safe. And Feliz has to play 3rd... just looking at the DP he started.. I don't think Dobbs would make that play....

And lastly, why is Ryan Howard not DH-ing.... his fielding is a horrible liabilty out there.. he made one error and it should of been 2 on the stupid fucking play he makes by not tossing the ball the Hamels in the first.
