It's funny they have this kind of season because I've started becoming a regular at a trivia night at a Red Sox bar in the East Village and consider the host, who is a huge Sox fan a good friend.

You know, I saw this and thought it was a good take, but someone who has read Pete Abe since he left LoHud, he has been ripping these players for a year now, so it's kind of strange coming from him. Everything he says about Crawford seems to be spot on, and he definitely is not too nice to Beckett, but he has literally spent the last year ripping these players, mostly Beckett thought, I guess and he does there.

Having been around Beckett during the years I covered games for SportsTicker, I don't think he's far off on Beckett.

Yeah, I don't doubt the Beckett stuff a little bit.
  • This could get ugly if the youth movement doesnt play respectable ball next season. Ticket prices aint goin down and if they play like crap again next year, there may be a revolt.

  • Fuck you Saltalalamacchia and your bushleauge antics, bunting in the 5th with 2 outs to break up Griffin's no hitter! I hope he takes a fastball to the earhole at his next at bat.

It was only the 5th? I can see you being upset if it was the 8th or 9th & he did that(and the score was out of hand). But the 5th?

I remember Behn Wilson, I think it was, tried to break up Curt Schillings No-Hit bid with a bunt in the 8th or 9th. Bob Brenly called it bullshit. Yea, it was bullshit alright: on Brenly! The score was 1-0 or 2-0( i don't remember the exact score) but in that situation if he can get on it brings up the potential tieing, or go-ahead run, up to the plate.

I still think it was a garbage move to break up a perfect game with a bunt, regardless the inning, but I'm over it since the outcome was a win.

Ok boys, time to sack up and play spoiler.

I wish I was back in Boston, these would actually be pretty fun games to go to. They kind of remind me of the crappy old, pre-pink hat days ... when all the seats in right field and half the bleachers were empty.

    They won!

An intimate ballpark with great fans, history and vibe.
Here in Massachusetts the Red Sox fever is very palpable.

If you love baseball you have to see a game at this park. Just awesome.

They are, and that lineup is pretty brutal, but watch these next few days they play well. That would suck.

Yeah, I went for the first time this year. Liked it a lot more than I thought I would. As I mentioned, my only complaint was how corporate the bars are around it. At least Yankee stadium still has the dives, except the bowling alley

    I don't think you'll have to worry.

The Sox are so bad right now, they couldn't beat me, you, and seven of our friends>

First time in about 10 years or so, that a series in September didn't mean shit(for one team).

I was over at Fenway on Saturday and for pure curiosity's sake checked with a few scalpers on prices. They were offering really good seats for 50% of face value and bitching about how bad things are. There you have it folks! The 2012 Boston Red Sox...endangering the livelihood of dozens of scalpers.
