    me too!

This is ridiculous! I was so pissed in the 5th inning. I decided I got sick of seeing the Rays tee off on the sox so i went to bed. I didn't expect to see them come out on top when i woke up this morning. Maybe I should do that more often because they always seem to win when I count them out. At least we have a game on Saturday to watch now!!!

    The resilient SOX!!!

I did the same exact thing. Two of my friends called me when I was sound asleep and when the phone rang I new exactly what happened.
I'll ride the wave where it takes me.

    Fenway going nuts!

    What a game.
    What a comeback.

    We're going to Tampa :)
  • Well, I haven't strapped on my bib just yet, but at least there is still hope I will have to eat my words from yesterday. What a great win that was....if for no other reason than we won't have to watch the Fenway faithful with their long faces when/if the Rays clinch.

I didn't get home until 7:30 (central), turned the game on and it was 5-0 and having had an awful day and not feeling so well to boot I went to bed shortly after 8. Woke up a little after 5 this morning just long enough to flip the tv on to Mike and Mike (the greatest show ever) and I heard it and thought I was dreaming. I was relieved when I finally woke up for good!

I still think it is highly unlikely they can win two games in Tampa, but I've said the same thing before so who knows. It's a damn shame the bats weren't poppin' like that a couple of games ago, but hopefully they are ready to churn out a shit load of runs...Beckett and Lester better bring their fuckin' A games!

Meanwhile, I will go and rinse last night's gravy off my bib just in case.
    GO SOX!

  • Oh, and I am way superstitious and I know some of the rest of you are too.

So, since I did not watch (about five seconds) last night, does that mean I shouldn't watch this weekend?

Yup...any fair weather fan who gave up should watch reruns of Designing Women instead of watching games 6 and 7.

Aw, come on now, I was feeling bad and watching them getting the crap beat out of them might have made me suicidal! I just didn't think I could stomach it last night.

But, if I can't watch, can I substitute Golden Girls instead of Designing Women? Blanche gets me all hot and bothered to this day!

1999: Pedro beats Clemens 13-1 and strikes out 12
2003: Aaron Fucking Boone - nuff said
2004: 19-8 Massacre to fall behind 3-0 to the Yanks

one of the die hard sox fans here at work told me today that he went to bed during the top of the 7th. i couldn't believe it. i'm a yankees fan, but even i knew that you don't count boston out, especially the last 2-3 innings of the game.

Oh shoot I was at that game too! I had just come from a Bar Mitvah in Cambridge got a standing room ticket, it was awesome to me being back in Beantown.

Didn't watch the game last night but saw the high lights this morning, amazing.

Sox need to jump out early and keep the pressure on.

  • how about the dopes in the crowd who left at 7-0? I watched the game, and said---"they better just keep the shutout (when it was 1st and 3rd, 2 out, ortiz on deck). Don't give these assholes even a thought that they can come back" So what's the feeling about Beckett up there in beantown? Adds to his legacy, or further proof that he's quite overrated
