The Sox are rolling despite Big Papi struggling mightily. The bats up and down the order need to get things figured out still. We've only got 1 guy hitting over .300 - Youkilis at .469 - so everybody else needs to turn that around. The pitching has been solid lately though.
I wish I was as fortunate, as fortunate as me.

I'm not worried too much. Papi always has slow starts. They're well on their way winning their 6th in a row. I just hope they keep it up this weekend against the Yanks.

in the past few games, Ortiz (on the advice of Dave Magadan) has been going to the opposite field, and doing it with power (several doubles and a triple) ... he drilled one off the top of the wall today just before the rain delay. This is usually a sign that his timing is coming back.

The national media is making a huge deal about it ... thing is, he's NOT going to be a 50-140 guy ever again ... but, I still see 30-110 as a decent probability.

Bay will produce and Lowell will be better than last year ... the offense should be in the top 5 in the AL.

Well they won last night, so that's a good thing... :D

They have tonight off, and then the Yankee's are coming for the weekend. Is A. Roid still out of the line up? I haven't heard anything... just wondering..
    :)

    Let's Go Red Sox!!!

Went to the game last night. It was amazing. That is why you never leave a baseball game early. Anything can happen.

Great series by the Sox this weekend. They've certainly found their mojo after they got away from the left coast.

alright i don't particularly care for the (red) sox (nation) but Ellsbury stealing home was pretty freaking sweet...almost as cool as the time he scored from second on a bunt.

its only a matter of time till your pitching staff hits the crapper.

Our pitching staff is only going to get better. Two of our five Opening Day starters are on the 15 day dl right now, so when they come back up we can get rid of the dead weight in our rotation.

Pitching? That is our strength. We have Smoltz ready to rumble mid season. And Bucholz waiting in the wings.

I didn't say that you had bad pitching, but that the blue jays pitching can only get better from this point on.

My bad. Thought I was quoting someone who said our pitching was going to hit the crapper. I now see it was from a fellow Sox fan aimed eleswhere.

Good luck. Would love to see you guys win the Wild Card.

    GO SOX!

No I jokingly said your HITTING staff doesn't necessarily strike fear in the hearts of pitchers. It's not bad, but can it carry you to the playoff?

They're third in the AL in runs scored right now and by year's end, I expect them right around that level ... this isn't the 2004 sluggin' sox where 1 - 9, there isn't a hole in the lineup. But, their offense should be well above average.
