That Braves streak is impressive, but it should only be 11 straight NL East titles. The first 3 were NL West titles and in 1994, they wouldn't have caught the Expos that year, but that year doesn't really count for anything because of the strike.

Now that the super bowl is over, Im turning full attention to the fightin' phils. I cannot push myself enough to watch a flyers or sixers game, although I went to the flyers vs devils the other night and they gave it a valient effort. See ya at the bank!!! sbb

The Phils have the makings of an excellent club. I really like the Garcia and Eaton additions. The addition of a six-fingered relief pitcher , Alfonseca, isn't going a along way to make me forget Arthur Rhodes or Ryan Madson's 5+ ERA. Helping the bullpen , and not trading Aaron Rowand in the process unless the deal is too good to pass up, is a necessity.

Nope, but Phillies opening day is mad expensive $ 100 for a good infield seat.

Why do you want an infield seat?? Can get a nice seat in the lower section of the outfield for a cheaper price.

My favorite place to sit in the park is in section 101 - the little triangle by the bullpen. I love hearing the bullpen phone ring and hearing the guys in the bullpen bs with one another.

Of course I do love the Hall of Fame Club in the summer. Nothing like being able to walk into an air conditioned hallway at any time.

I like 148, my buddy had the sunday plan there for the first few years and it was great being in a small section, almost dead centerfield and being close to the bullpens. I think any of the outfield lower level sections are great from 142 to 148.

And yea the HOF club is great when its hot out but I really didn't think the sight lines from the first base side boxes were that good... maybe its just me.

I love fantasy baseball, but drafting now is silly. Way too many injuries happen in spring training. I usually draft in my leagues the week before the season starts. But it is a great feeling knowing that winter will be over soon and baseball will soon return.

A few of us in Philly talked about this last year, but I think it would be cool to get 25 of us (there are a ton of Philly people on the board) and buy a group package one night at Citizen's Bank Park. It would be a cool and inexpensive way to put names to faces, watch baseball, drink some beer and get to know one another. Anyone have any interest in this?

Just a quick question, what day of the week would work best for a group of people? I'm thinking it has to be a weekend. So how does Sunday April 15th sound? It's Dollar Dog Day and with global warming in effect it should be like 75 by then.

Both can be done.... weekends would probably be a good idea, and a dollar dog day on the weekend is outstanding.

Let's give this thread a couple days to get the word out and see how many are interested. I think if we can get 25 or more people to commit we can get a group rate, all sit together, eat a ton of hot dogs and drink some beer, and watch some Phillies baseball.

I have a friend of a friend from college who works in the ticket office so I'll see what's up with group tickets in a few days if we get enough interest.
