Yeah that was a good comeback (not as impressive as the Leafs over the Rags), but this showing up for 20 minutes a game won't work forever ;)

So did the Habs overachieve last year, or are they underachieving this year?
I'm tending to lean towards the latter, simply because the team has many talented players and yet every game there is a glaringly obvious lack of effort on the ice for 98% of the game.

Good game by Price last night, and the rest of the team actually seemed to show up for 40 minutes (which sounds bad, but is 35 minutes more than usual...). The Whalers have our number still, and Samsonov tied the game, even worse ;)

Oh well, at least we'll own the All Star game!

How is a thread about the greatest hockey team ever been allowed to lapse?

There is another thread about that is slightly more used than this one!

They'll need to play better in round 2, or more precisely more finish around the net, and if PK plays like he did in the final 3 games they'll be tough. They'll have Moen back as well, that should help ... although they did sweep they benefited from shaky Tampa goaltending. But if they are playing Boston anything can happen ... such a vicious rivalry.

It should be a good series, Boston is a tough team. Hopefully we don't roll over easy.

I don't think we're gonna roll over easy. They have a good game and with Patches getting the GWG they have momentum that should carry them until Boston and Detroit wrap up. I can see us getting slammed with injuries with Bostons dirty play.

Yeah the injuries could mount up quick against them. Especially if everyone doesn't have a new titanium cup.

At least one out of Boston, can't ask for much more than that.

I thought for sure the Bs were gonna take that game. Habs looked so flat in the 3rd.

Yeah, even the first two periods were hard to watch. If the goons were able to put the puck in an empty net last night it would have been soooo bad.

I agree. And Boston had so many wide-open net opportunities and somehow, they missed everyone of them. I'm happy that the Habs but it will be a long series.
