saw the premiere on NBC last night. i am intrigued. :)

there is also a cool graphic novel (short at the moment) that i'm pretty sure they will be adding to as the story unfolds.

Me, too. Worth checking out, especially since it's on before Studio 60 and there's not much else on Monday night, for us non-football types.

i like how they were all connected. Each one had something to do with the other without knowing it. Im pretty suprised by it actually. my friends and I were trying to decide which power we would want... i chose the time traveling one
  • they're playing an encore tonight. i want to say at 8 but i'm not positive. i missed the first 20 or 30 minutes cause i forgot it was on. but what i saw was interesting. i'm going to try and catch what i missed tonight. i can see it going either way. either really good or just stupid. but i need something to watch between prison break and studio 60 so i'll probably give it a chance for a couple weeks at least.
it should be interesting to see how they all come together in the next few weeks.

I watched it last week when Yahoo! was offering a free preview, I found it interesting, but it comes on the same time as Vanished and I've already been sucked into that. I'm curious to see how it all develops.
  • i just watched it. this show is the next lost and im totally psyched to see it playout. this could def be my staple monday night show till 24 comes back...then ill have a problem. :)
  • i think i will catch the replay tonight. doesn't seem to be much else on anyway.

i have a feeling the creator / writer was / is a comic book fan...especially with the reference to the x-men and kitty pryde. genetics and mutations seem to be the premise here, but there also seems to have been an experiment involved at some point, so in that way it would be different from the x-men...anyway...just looking forward to watching again tonight and seeing where the series goes :)
  • i taped it last night but watching it again now. sooo many questions of course already but when shuresh(?) is leaving india does he say patient zero is in ny? the stripper is hot but i def dont fully understand her "power". looking forward to new heroes next week such as the brother and the cop. so many connections right off the bat, i think if anyone likes lost they will LOVE this show. but i already said that this afternoon...ha!
  • it definitely has that air of mystery that got me hooked on LOST, that's for sure.

My favorite so far too. Did you catch that his name is Hiro...so now he'll be SuperHiro. :) He's so ready for his special ability.

I caught it. That it was cool. Should be a good show. Here's to hoping it doesn't interfere with 24 in January.

I think so too! That was funny when he tele-ported himself into the ladies room. :D

And with the flying kid......did he really fly or just his politician brother?

What's with the Indian guy whose professor father died?

oh for sure, that was great!...it's nice to see him use his power for some good. haha!
btw, the girl with the kid, her ability must be that she's able to split herself into a sorta real life physical alter ego? Like a second her? hence the image she kept on seeing?

I dunno, i'm interested to see how they work with that.
  • so many questions already, eh?

    that's awesome! :)

i'm wondering if the guy in texas knows his daughter is one of the heroes, or if it's just coincidence that he and his wife adopted her?

who is drawing the comic that shows their lives playing out? is it the same guy doing the paintings?

like aNiMaL said, is it the younger brother who can fly, or the older brother, or both?

mcbrian, it will be interesting to see how the power of the alternate personality works. seems like she's trying to surpress it in a conscious state.

...and which one is patient zero?

i'm with y'all in that i like Hiro the best so far :)
  • I caught the last half of it and was looking forward to seeing it. It looks very good thus far. Hiro is also my fav. character

Is the girl going to be one of the heroes or is she a badguy?
I taped it and will watch it again this weekend - I saw a good portion of it -but it was spotty. Loved Hiro.

From what I saw, he does know... earlier he was in the taxi with the taxi driver (one of the heroes) and spooked him. It LOOkS like the father is NOT a particularly good guy but can't tell at this point.

maybe their powers only work together. it certainly made it look like the politician had the powers.

how much did you love their shoplifting mother. i died laughing

Well the younger brother was talking to his mom at the police station about one event in the past when he was cross-country or something like that, and felt something was terribly wrong with his brother. My thoughts are that it is this connection with his politician brother that make him think he can fly, when in reality it is the brother.

The taxi driver doesn't harbor any special powers at this point from what I can tell, he is just following up on his father's research, which is what got him killed, apparently the father had maybe worked on these people or just dug too deep in his research.

I agree with robbyblaylock that this could be the next Lost. I told my wife the same thing. I enjoyed the first episode and look forward to more.

For those worried about Heroes conflicting with 24 I don't you have much to worry about. I could see this show moviing to Thurdays at 9 PM by late this year or eariy next year. I just can't see Deal or No Deal sustaining a primetime Thursday night slot for more than a month or two. It will die just like Millionaire did and the sooner the better.

  • this show is going to be good! i'm already hooked after two episodes :)

anyone notice that isaac's painting was the same as the design found on the hard drive at the professor's apartment?

That was even more freaky last night. The stripper/porn/mom and the cleanup and shovel was crazy. Hiro and the trip to NYC and back was wow. He really can bend time. It was cool to see a new character, the cop.

Actually, they introduced two new "hero" characters, but we only saw the cop.

As for Jeph Loeb, he's done some stories on Smallville and has written such comic books as Batman: The Long Halloween, Hush, Dark Victory, and Superman For All Seasons.

good catch, since the second isn't really a hero, but a vilan.
  • Who watched "Heroes" tonight?

The cheerleader at on the table at the end of the show....

I am beyond thrilled to find a TV show that hooks my interest. I am intrigued, I am trying to guess what will happen and am left hanging at the end of every show.

I had given up on television (except "Survivor"...I am a hopeless addict) and this show has me riveted. I love how the characters will eventually be tied together and I am racking my brain to try and figure out how it will happen.
