Obviously there was alot of debate and concern about this years bullpen. Personally, I think they are better this year than last year. Bradford was a loss, but Joe Smith seems like a good alternative. Burgos is throwing gas. Feliciano, Heilman, Showenweiss, and Wagner have done their jobs. My question is who's getting the shaft when Sanchez, and Mota are ready to return. I'm fairly sure they want to keep Sele as the long man. I don't think anyone else would be suited for it. Smith and Burgos seem like the obvious choices to be demoted, but I'm not sure I'd wanna do that. I guess time will tell, but I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on that one guys.

burgos scares me alot, as example of today. u cant throw pitches down the pipe like that. smith and burgos are unproven pitchers, willie knows what he has in mota and sanchez

Lastings Milledge sent down to New Orleans to make room for Mike Pelfrey on the roster. Mr. 6'7" gets his first start of the season tonight against the Nationals. If he shows well, is it too early to begin talk of a weekend sweep?

Nice job by Glavine in getting win #292 last night.

Its more important for Milledge to get consistent playing time at this point, although I did like the idea of Green having to look over his shoulder.

and its never too early to talk sweep when the Nationals are in town.

    Seriously.

Can't we just have some in-depth discussion about the Mets without occasional drop-ins from the neighborhood ya-yas?

There's a thread dedicated to nearly every team in the majors on AET. We implore you to go find yours.

I love that the mets right now are winning...even though Big Stick Carlos Delgado, David Wright..and Beltran haven't even started hammering hr's consistently yet.

    good signs.... :)

and to the Yankee Fans....don't make Mr. Met come down to the Bronx and beat the tar out of you guys...lol
(he will too...he's a big whisky drinker...and catch him on the wrong day.....ohh wee....not good....)

mets fans.... you should be worried about the braves

    Smoltz
    James
    Hudson

Redman is a streaky guy...i like him but hes no ace...thats why hes a no.4 guy...sometimes he goes 6-7 no problem sometimes...he goes 5..he doesnt get beat early though.

Davies (young guy like pelfrey, not proven..but his 1st start was excellent )

    Soriano
    Wickman
    Gonzalez
    Paronto
    Villareal

try everything. They are better at nearly every matchup up and down the lineup.

and if you can't conceed that, take a look at the results so far

Seriously, are you fucking kidding me?

Can you even be consistent? Earlier you said the Mets wouldn't make the playoffs. Now, all of the sudden they are #2.

There's a lot of questions in that run on sentence. I'll try to handle them one at a time

The Yankees are 4-4, 1/2 game out of first place. Thanks for asking.

No, not really bad with Pettitte coming out of the bullpen. Ever heard of a throw day? (Note the use of the ?)

As for Clemens, the Yankees are not like The Mutts, who go out every year and buy the biggest free agent. This is a team that develops from within.

I wasn't aware that winning one division title is the bees knees, but winning 11 in a row, with 4 World Series championships "sucks ass" It shouldn't be noted that the last WS victory barely qualifies, as they beat a minor league team. And beat them badly.

Fuck the yanks? Still bitter about 2000, eh?
