It's going to be painful to wear my Mets hat daily. Maybe I'll get a Jets hat till the pain becomes tolerable again....I don't know, but hang in there buddy..

    Oy.

Don't give up the ship yet, it's not done. It looks bleak but this is their thing, they come back from the brink all the time.

Tell me about it, I'll never ever forget what they did to the Red Sox back in 86'. We are talking about THE amazing METS, good luck.

So the Mets will have to win the next two games and hope for a Philly loss, just to get one game to decide it all in Philly? Their will has been broken, as have ours..

What? Met fans don't ever root for the Yankees! Are you kidding? This collapse becomes more painful the better the Yanks do..damn this is bad..

you can't give up yet! Think positive. I know someone who has this same "Met mindset,' if you will. I think positive about everything.

If the Yanks go out in the first round, the Met fans will feel slightly better about themselves :). Who's pitching? Does it really matter? Maine is going tomorrow and he's just as bad as Perez..He'll give up 5 runs by the fourth no problem..been awful in the second half....Oh and Glavine on Sunday who has given up about a million runs in his last two outings..

I thought positive tonight. I thought positive last night too. I really did. The entire season. I can't control what happens on the field, unfortunately. I think we'll win tomorrow..

Willie should switch that. I'd rather have Tommy going out there. Tomorrow is the whole season!
If you don't win tomorrow Sunday is irrelevant.

We have a better shot vs Cleveland than the Angels. I'm relieved it's turned out that way.

Glavine needs the extra day of rest, especially considering how he has performed recently. You can't trust him anymore than maine now. I'd go with Maine tomorrow..

Cleveland has been playing some solid ball lately..

    hmm
    ok fair enough

Tommy has more experience in big games like this one. He can rest in the off season
but he's not as young as he used to be

that's a lot to put on Maine's shoulders. Yipes.

Yeah I know about Cleveland but Anaheim has had our # for the longest time, even during this regular season.

It was more of a Met collapse than anything, but I admire the way your team played down the stretch. They beat the mets 7 times in a fucking row. If you win, you deserve it..

Of course Glavine has the experience, but did you see how horrible his last two starts were? I don't know..Maine pitched well last year under playoff pressure, and this season has won 14 games..It's a toss up...but I wish Pedro could start Sunday, if it matters at that point..

In an ideal situation, I'd rather Pedro go on Monday to decide the division..

If it comes down to monday, i'd have pedro as the first guy out of the bullpen. three days rest is not enough to necessarily start him, although i would, but it's usually enough for his side session only this time would be real hitters.

the mlb.com guy on SNY's postgame implored the Mets to start Pedro on Monday, should it come to that, saying he could probably go no more than 4 innings, but those are the 4 innings they brought him here for. He said Pedro could be relieved by anyone and everyone, Perez, Maine, El Duque

And now I'm watching a replay of Daily News Live on SNY, and they brought in that idiot Ferrell and a freaking psychic. the psychic did see in her cards that the Mutts would lose tonight and win over the weekend
