    only teasing you guys, relax

    Oh, I'm relaxed.

The Mets simply stink out loud. There's no reason getting worked up about it anymore. I think they've broken me.

Yet they're STILL in first place. Sonsofbitches.

    East Troy (x 2) 2011

    Baltimore 2020
    Louisville 2022
    Philadelphia & Baltimore 2024
  • The weather report for tomorrow night is not promising at all. They really should have made tomorrow a day game. Thunderstorms in the forecast from 4 PM to 3 AM. That could potentially mean the Mets/Cards tilt scheduled for tomorrow gets bumped to Monday, and then if it came down to it, a Mutts/Phils tiebreaker for the division on Tuesday. And you know there is animosity towards the Mutts from the Cardinals (remember them doing the Jose chant after Game 7?) so they will get up to knock out the Mutts. That's a lot of If's, but that would absolutely destroy an already tattered pitching staff, having to win Monday and Tuesday just to get to Game 1 on Wednesday.

    I should've been more specific. I meant the 2007 break :D

It takes on a different form every year, but the result is always the same.

J-Roll mvp look at the numbers and u have to agree. The man is a beast, and a hell of a leader.

    Really?

*******AB R H 2B 3B HR RBI BB K SB CS AVG OBP SLG OPS

    Wright--584 108 188 41 1 30 105 91 113 34 5 .322 .414 .550 .964

    Rollins--696 134 204 38 18 30 91 48 84 37 6 .293 .342 .529 .871

Wright gets on base a lot more frequently. The power numbers and stolen bases are pretty similar. Rollins strikes out less, but he also draws much fewer walks.

I think either guy could win. They'll both be in the Top 5, along with Holliday and Fielder.

misery u don't know what misery is try being 27 and never seeing a title from a team u love. Phils lose to jays, flyers lose to edm and det, sixers to lakers and eagles to pats. The last title they one i was 2 or 3 wait can't say i remember it. all i want is a damn championship. Thats misery u got a title from one of your teams at some point. i'm afraid that i'll die before i see one, glad i quit smoking maybe i'll have a better chance now.
    Go Birds!!!!

just comparing you're line about being the only one here to loduca's from a few months ago. The one where he got pissed at reporters, and told them:
'That's it. I'm done talking. Other people in here speak English"

Must not have been very funny, if I had to explain it

  • NL MVP should be very interesting. Rollins, Fielder and even Holliday can make very strong cases, as could Wright

i know what misery is. try going to a ballpark and having 16,000 fans at a stadium that holds 56,000, try having the YANKS win the world sersis on your fucking grass.try being an isles fan and go through 8 different owners and 11 different coaches 6 rebuliding teams and still have the same douchebag as your GM all in less then 15 years.try going to see your fav hockey team and have 4,390 people in a arena that holds 16,000

I don't like Ryan Howard, either, but that didn't stop me from being able to say he deserved last year's MVP.

Wright's numbers and contributions for the entire season rank right there with all the top candidates. Virtually everyone would agree on this, even if Alou has certainly had a few more timely hits in the past week or so.

Try to be a little more objective in your analysis.

A beast who will be the single season leader in strikeouts by the end of the week.

He could make it 200 this season if he really sets his mind to it.

Don't you think it's odd that the Mets have left the door WIDE OPEN for weeks at a time this season, yet the Phillies STILL have not found a way to actually take the division lead away from them?

Amazing, isn't it? I wonder why that is.

You should test that theory out by wearing an Eli Manning jersey to the next Giants game in Philly
