i don't think it is. his style doesn't go with willie's and what does he need to tell with jose reyes about stealing bases.

I know he worked with Reyes and Beltran extensively in camp, which seemed to have translated positively in the early part of the season. But ever since Henderson took over first base, it's been down hill for Reyes..

i wouldnt even go to the stadium for that, thats how deep my hate runs for the yanks. been to a yankees game once and probably will be my first and last time there.

some memories of shea for me. obivously being at the 9-11 game.tommy glavine almost perfect game. mike piazza's final game as a met, i cried like a baby that day.probably my fav met game ever so far.
Ron: I just don't feel like going out tonight
    Sammi: Wanna just break up?

  • Even as a yankee hater, i think you should go before it gets gutted. There is so much history there. It may not be your history per se, but to be a baseball fan and not go to Yankee Stadium when it's so close would be a mistake IMO

I think I have to agree with the Yanks fan on this one.

I'm already planning a trip to NYC next baseball season so that I can at least go to Shea and Yankee Stadiums once in my lifetime before they close their gates.

I just love baseball as a whole too much not to go to Yankee Stadium.

    Let's Go Mets!

  • I have a serious question for met fans. (I am just curious, I'm not looking to twist the knife) Which would have been worse, getting so close to tying the game tonight, or to just have gone down 10-3?

Either way, it stinks. But I'd rather have seen them fight back the way they did. It shows a little bit of heart and a willingness to try and overcome or compensate for such an awful bullpen.

The Phils lost, so the elimination number did shrink to 4. That's worthy of a small cheer, I suppose.

If the starters can't get 6 or 7 innings and a lead every game in October, the Mets are toast. Anyone can read between those lines, I'm sure.

brutal loss by the phils. if the Phils win last night and cut the Mets lead to 1, watch out. These Mets are choking big time, the Phils just can't seem to get it together enough to catch them. Last night was a huge wasted opportunity

I've been here the last two weeks when the skid has been the worst.

Can Pedro beat the Cardinals to keep this thing afloat?
