I agree X, the fans are passionate, but just maybe if people quit going to the games and the Leafs only played in front of half empty building things might be different.

Nice little entertainment between two Phils playoff games.

Hopefully they hold on and ruin those dirty yinzers' opening of their shitty arena that no one will be filling once they're no longer competitive again.

I know, right? And so begins my casual viewing of the Flyers - meaning I'll watch them when the Phils or Eagles or a decent Sixers game(which will be about 2% of their season) isn't going on. Not that I'm not a Flyers fan, they're just not #1 on my priority list. And there's the whole thing with the season being meaningless to me when over 50% of the league makes the playoffs.

Yeah, don't get me wrong, I love the Flyers. They represent Philly, that's my main thing, but to me the die-hards are either Canadian or have played the sport. It's a very niche sport.

Guilty as charged...Ice and Street I played growing up

Everyday after school street hockey was a must...in my day we didnt have those fancy outdoor rinks we skated over man-hole covers and used park cars as boards !!

Same here, but once roller blades came into play as opposed to running around I was out. The furthest my extent of hockey after that was can hockey in the parking lot during lunch break in high school - two book bags at each end marked the goals and the puck was a crushed soda can. Good times.
  • Loved the token late 3rd period PP for the Pens. I knew it was coming.

Also loved Carter whiffing on a wide open net....shades of Game 6 <sigh>

It's pretty much a given when these 2 teams play

Last minute and a half is always excruciating

You could have played goal in my neighbrohood without skates

i used to love playing goalie every now and again and come sliding out and take people out with my mylec pads

I was going through my tickets yesterday and noticed the Flyers Organ-i-zation has started using a different pricing method

Some games are less expensive then others and other games are more expensive

    First I've heard of this

great game tonight for our flyers. Giroux is really rocking so far. this is going to be a break out year for him. So Bob is 2-0. what do you think happens with a goalie situation when leighton comes back?

Boucher is cut or sent to the minors.

Leighton and Bob split time until they realize Bob rules, than Bob gets 75% of the starts.

Bob has looked good. I can't say any of the 4 goals so far have been soft. I've liked what i've seen so far

so is it time to cut Nikolay Zherdev? he looks lost out there, seems to move at 80% effort and has done nothing to impress.

No to cutting him but yes that he seems to be lost. I think we have to give him time to adjust to the NHL again. the guy has alot of talent. right now we are playing well and should just wait to see if he comes around.

This is the guys MO for his career

    Flashes some skill and floats

They're definitely not cutting him...hopefully Pronger doesn't make him cry when he confronts him
