They signed Voracek 1 yr 2.25mil

After Voracek and Jagr, Flyers have less than $4.2 million in cap space left.

does that $4.2 include Scheen? because if he makes the roster this year his cap hit is like $3 million as well. baffling moves.

Fixer - please tell me you'd rather have a 40-year old Jaromir Jagr (for 1 year) than Jeff Carter? even you can't think this is a good move.

The Flyers have a league-high cap payroll of $63.8m, including Laperriere/Schenn, excluding Lilja (terms TBA). About $930k from cap.

I don't know anything about lilja, so I can't really comment on that signing.

I actually don't mind the jagr deal. Sure they overpaid, but it's only a one year deal. I would much rather overpay for one year than have overpaid for overrated ville leino for 3-4 years. I wouldn't be surprised to see jagr outperform leino this season. plus, as evidenced by the playoffs, the flyers were desperate for PP help. Jagr is one of the best ever on the PP. I know he's not the player he was 5 years ago, but I think he will help them. I don't love the signing, but I dont hate it either since it's only for 1 year.

Talbot is just a guy. Reasonable contract and he takes powe's spot as a role player/penalty killer.

Out of all the moves they have made over the last two weeks, the one that makes the least sense to me was trading richards.

As long as pronger and timonen stay healthy this team should once again contend for a spot in the finals.

The dude is a stiff from what I've been reading.

I honestly don't know why they didnt go after Cole for 4M then pay a guy who has been out of the league for 3 yrs ?

Talbot i like he's a good locker room guy similar to Lappy. I have to look at the lines and figure all this crap out

I was at the carcillo/talbot game. Until game 6 of last year's NLCS it was the worst sporting event I have ever attended.

nice. carter and versteeg both gone this offseason. addition by subtraction epitomized

Homer cut his losses on that one. gave up a first and got a 2nd/3rd in return. ouch

    The :shh: game

crosby scored literally a minute after that fight. It was all downhill from there. Brutal.

so now that versteeg is gone do you think handzus is in play? not that I'd be excited about that signing
