In an si.com article on the worst year-to-year collapses in sports history, the 05-06 to 06-07 Flyers had the worst collapse in NHL history. He noted that they immediately returned to prominence the very next year, crediting Homer. :D I think we can call the 06-07 team the Forsberg Illfitting Skates.

just some quick digging...the nhl was around for some of those earlier ones, but it looks like the counting to 6 started after the WHL stopped competing for the cup.

hopefully, the flyers can add a name to that list

I agree. Flyers never should've traded him. Even given Primeau's amazing 2004 playoff performance. I always hated that trade.

I can't recall off the top of my head - did he end up spending more years in Carolina than in Philly? I think he's the hardest working Philly athlete in my lifetime.

Canucks lost last night, so Flyers are 2 pts. back with 2 games in hand for #1 overall.

Chase Utley (and no i'm not being a dick before you accuse me of it). but always like Brind 'Amour and thought it was a bad trade. primeau really only had that one playoff run.

So the bruins have traded for Kaberla. do you see the Flyers doing anymore trades. I stilll don't see the Bruins beating us but now they got a guy to pass the puck to Chara.

    Boston making a few trades.

They could be trouble come playoff time. They have solid goaltending and will still be pissed about last years playoffs.

Hopefully, somebody knocks them off before a Flyers match up.

They are one of the few teams that scares me. But I could definitely see somebody else beating them in the 1st 2 rounds. (hopefully Montreal ;) )
