In an si.com article on the worst year-to-year collapses in sports history, the 05-06 to 06-07 Flyers had the worst collapse in NHL history. He noted that they immediately returned to prominence the very next year, crediting Homer.
I think we can call the 06-07 team the Forsberg Illfitting Skates.

I agree. Flyers never should've traded him. Even given Primeau's amazing 2004 playoff performance. I always hated that trade.Spectrum 10/27/09; New Orleans JazzFest 5/1/10; Made in America 9/2/12; Phila, PA 10/21/13; Phila, PA 10/22/13; Baltimore Arena 10/27/13; Phila, PA 4/28/16; Phila, PA 4/29/16; Fenway Park 8/7/16; Fenway Park 9/2/18; Asbury Park 9/18/21; Camden 9/14/22; Las Vegas 5/16/24; Las Vegas 5/18/24; Phila, PA 9/7/24; Phila, PA 9/9/24; Baltimore Arena 9/12/24; Pittsburgh 5/16/25; Pittsburgh 5/18/25

Chase Utley (and no i'm not being a dick before you accuse me of it). but always like Brind 'Amour and thought it was a bad trade. primeau really only had that one playoff run.0 -

So the bruins have traded for Kaberla. do you see the Flyers doing anymore trades. I stilll don't see the Bruins beating us but now they got a guy to pass the puck to Chara.0

They could be trouble come playoff time. They have solid goaltending and will still be pissed about last years playoffs.
Hopefully, somebody knocks them off before a Flyers match up.81 is now off the air0 -

They are one of the few teams that scares me. But I could definitely see somebody else beating them in the 1st 2 rounds. (hopefully Montreal)
