It'll be tough to go to concerts this year. You don't want your wife getting secondary highs carrying the little one. And then the whole standing up thing for 3 hours is pretty tough too. The Eddie one should be fine though. ;)

It feels good for us to be getting back into the swing of it. I'm bitter we missed Arcade Fire last year.

    traveling...didn't see game. JVR...nice. Bob...also nice.

Could be two biggest players in playoffs if you think about it.

boston tomorrow. bring tim thomas...he stinks

let's get the momentum back boys

Kind of a slow period, with Flyers season dragging on, Big 5 all done, Phils Spring Training a huge mess.

I saw a good bit of the game switching with basketball, but managed to miss all the goals. Looks like Bob's the man, so good to see him playing a good game

not a great win, didn't play well half the game. That being said, congrats JVR on his hat trick

Hopefully they least continue their win streak against Boston tonight.

That game last night couldn't even hold my attention. Just 2 bored teams playing out the string waiting for the playoffs to start. Goddam, hockey season is way too long. 70 games would be good.

And Jim Jackson said something about a "playoff atmosphere" - fucking bullshit. Flyers played like it was a preseason game.

boston annoucers were ragging on the philly crowd.

they were talking loudest barns and said philly would be on that list, but not tonight.

flyers crowds don't get going until playoff time.

The playoffs will be interesting IF the BRUINS and Flyers meet up once again.

I generally go to shows with my buddies. She doesn't mind going if she's needed, but she can take or leave concerts. I took her to one of the springsteen shows at the spectrum and she spent more time watching people in the crowd than what was going on up on stage. She hit 2 of the EV solo shows with me a couple years back and she loved them. I will be trying for the philly show tomorrow, but I'd also like to hit the hartford show the week before that. She will probably head up there with me if I can figure out a way to get tix.

its been a while since i have been back and man. the Flyers look like slacker lately. tonight is a huge game for our loved Flyers against the Crosby/malkin less pens.

I am hoping for a flyers win but they seem to be relaxing alot lately.

kovalev has always killed the flyers. I swear he will be scoring goals vs the flyers when he's 60 years old...even if he's not in the league

    2nd goal was awful.

It's pretty bad when you're hoping the flyers goalie only lets in one soft goal a game. But I guess as flayer fans we should be used to that

EDIT: kovalev's goal was pretty sweet

That was more like it. Should be in pretty good shape for the #1 (or at least #2) seed now.

    Hope Timmonen is ok.

Can't stand how Bob gives up a couple softies then turns into Bernie freakin Parent circa 1974.

You're welcome for Ville Leino. At least he could make himself useful somewhere.

A fun fact about your in-state rivals: The Penguins have only won 5 games in regulation since February 1st.

Haha, he killed a guy in the Olympics last year. It was disgusting. That's the last I heard of him. I think we got a 5th rounder too. The 5th round and later seems to be when the Wings do their best drafting anyway.

Leino was a salary cap/roster dump. The Wings gave him opportunity after opportunity, but he couldn't hack it in our system. Unlike some of my fellow Wings fans, I'm not one bit bitter about it. We wanted him to be a 3rd line sniper, and he just wasn't filling that role. He got pushed off the roster by waiver pick-ups and minor leaguers who we could use on the PK, and he became a healthy scratch more often than not. He fits in great with the Flyers though.

As for the late draft picks, our European scout in particular is pretty awesome.
