I can't recall off the top of my head - did he end up spending more years in Carolina than in Philly? I think he's the hardest working Philly athlete in my lifetime.

Chase Utley (and no i'm not being a dick before you accuse me of it). but always like Brind 'Amour and thought it was a bad trade. primeau really only had that one playoff run.

So the bruins have traded for Kaberla. do you see the Flyers doing anymore trades. I stilll don't see the Bruins beating us but now they got a guy to pass the puck to Chara.

    Boston making a few trades.

They could be trouble come playoff time. They have solid goaltending and will still be pissed about last years playoffs.

Hopefully, somebody knocks them off before a Flyers match up.

They are one of the few teams that scares me. But I could definitely see somebody else beating them in the 1st 2 rounds. (hopefully Montreal ;) )

1st game without Pronger I believe. I'm not worried about it at all. btw - 2 'o's' in too in that context. ;)

I want #1 overall really bad because the Flyers are 3-20 in Finals road games.

  • The trick to beating Boston is taking them to a game seven. It's been their kryptonite. The Flyers last year, the Canes in 2009, the Canadiens in 2008.

While yes they do have solid goaltending, i still don't see them having the depth that philly has on forward. the advantage of the flyers winning is that total ice time of some key players have been down this year. that will mean that players like Richards and pronger will have more energy.

Thanks for the grammar lesson :ugeek: ......As for the Flyers chances at first place you probably have a decent shot considering the Canucks are currently down to one of their starting six D man .....we have guys on the blue line I didn't even know existed in our organization!

You have to admit Pronger or not the Canucks absolutely Fucking dismantled the Flyboys that night!!! :D

Honestly I didn't even see it. Tough to stay up for west coast games (guess I could've DVR'ed it). I never worry too much about one regular season game and how it projects out to a 7-game playoff series. (of course, I am worried about just barely winning one shootout in 4 games vs. Tampa Bay, but someone else should beat them in the first 2 rounds, right?) Also - Pronger or not??? - the guy's one of the best players in the league.

Besides, both teams have a long way to go until there's a rematch. Of course, one team has a pretty nice playoff resume from the past few years. ;)

Try being a fan of a team based in the eastern time zone that plays in the western conference. It's brutal sometimes. Especially in the playoffs, when those west coast games can go into double or triple overtime and you have school or work the next morning.

One big consequence of the rules crackdowns & opening the game up that nobody talks about is much fewer multi-OT games, which makes our lives much easier.

West Coast OT games - there's just no way. I guess I would stay up, but would probably have to call out the next day.

i'd agree flyers are deeper both at the forward and D position, a goaltender can steal a series.

I think having your number retired by a franchise is a greater honor than the HOF. So, therefore, I also say yes.
