Regarding breastfeeding...the best thing you can do, I think, is just relax about it and give it a shot. :) It can be very natural and easy, but for some it is a ton of work, and still for others it's impossible. I got myself SO worked up over the whole thing that I was seriously crushed when it didn't work out. I even worked with 3 different lactation consultants, and Annabelle just wouldn't get a good latch. I had to take an antiobiotic for my infected c/s incision, which really upset the baby's stomach, so I had to pump and dump for a week... After that, she absolutely refused to even try the breast, and I ended up pumping my brains out for about 6 weeks or so because I really wanted to give her breast milk. Eventually I just had to stop because I had a baby sitting there who needed to be held more than she needed the breastmilk and because I was going insane, lol. SHE was sleeping through the night before I was, lol. :D

Looking back...I regret all the anxiety I put myself through, and I wish I would have just relaxed and accepted it when it wasn't working. I now know that my baby is thriving with formula and she's gonna be just fine. I'll definitely try it again with the next baby, though, because making and washing bottles is a pain, and because there are definitely health benefits to breastmilk, especially in the beginning.

My aunts sister just had a baby.
She is having a hell of a time breastfeeding.
Her little girl is tongue tied.
So her latch is horrible and made ratshit out of her nipples.
Little Addison had the little flap of skin clipped so i think things will get better.

Kudos to mommy for still giving breastfeeding her all.
But Im not sure I wouldnt have given up.
    Ouch!

Congrats, PBM & PBW on the soon arrival of Xavier (I hope I spelled that right!)!!! :):)

    PJAddicted is WISE!

I'm still dealing with unorganized house and it's always a HUGE mess.

    Screw it. lol.

Make APPOINTMENTS with me if you really want to visit a clean house, not us. ;)

I read what you said about breastfeeding... it can be challenging at times!

It always took me a while with all four of mine.

I remember breastfeeding Tyler literally just bout all day.

Then I realized it was more of pacifiers for him!

That explains why none of them liked the "fake" pacifiers - why not use their momma's?!!

    ha.

I enjoyed that phase though... so much easier than making forumlas - except for hectic times like when I was in school and at times I didn't feel like breastfeeding and studying at the same time.

But I loved, loved, loved feeding them in bed. They'd put me to sleep! :D

All this talk made my husband wanting more kids... I think I will just shut up!

They do grow up so fast, it's not even funny.

My youngest will be five on April 11th and I'm thinking whaaaat happened?!

No more strollers, baby blankets and clothes that smell soooo good!!!

Now they all are talking people... lol.

Enjoy your baby years - it's only for a very, very short time though at times it seems like forever!

    It isn't. :(

hugs to everyone and their babies!!

Thanks for all of your well-wishes.

Quick update on my Mix-Cdproject for the baby. I sent out an email to family and friends yesterday. I asked each of them to email me a song...it can be their favorite song, a song from a band/artist they like or a song with a great message. I am going to compile all the songs and save a copy for Xavier for when he's older. Plus, everyone who contributes will get a copy when I get it finished.

So far, the repsonse has been great. Both my cousins called last night excited about the project. They said the decicision is going to be hard, but they are both excited to be able to shape what X-Man will listen to when he gets older.

It's a varied list so far....lots of great choices. Once I have everything completed I will post it and the album artwork.

Even though everyone else only gets one choice, PBW and I get to cheat a little...we get to contribute two tracks a piece.

I think I've got my choices down...when it comes to Pearl Jam, I'm torn between Given to Fly and Present Tense.

    This is a hard decision.

    PBM

    :)

    Hmmmm.
    Hard choice.
My vote for a kids has to be Given to Fly.
I do have a version of Eddie singing Baby Beluga somewhere though if you want me to track it down for you!

Thanks DinghyDog :D I am still amazed by how fast this pregnancy went. I found out i was pregnant in May and BOOM, we are in Dec! I mean, where did the time go by?! :p

my unborn child has been to SO many Pearl jam shows and other bands under her belt even before she is out of the womb :p Everytime I hear "Around the Bend" I think of her. We got that song on my b-day at Bridge School and to me, it was a blessing in disguise :)

I know it seems like forever, but pregnancy isn't an everyday thing... so try to enjoy the rest of your pregnancy! :)

Keep us posted when you have the baby!

And pretty soon you won't be able to fathom what life was like before he got here! :)

For now, just enjoy your last moments of peace and quiet. When he gets her, remember to take TONS of pictures! I'm so thankful for the many pictures we took during the first few weeks, because it was such a chaotic time that I don't really remember much of it, lol.
