I'm only about 80 pages or so into it. I'm starting to respect PT more and more. (Not that I didn't to begin with, I just didn't know much about him.)

The only book I've finished by her was Oryx and crake and I really liked it. And Year of the Flood takes place in the same universe so I couldn't help but pick it up :)

Shakespeare - The World as Stage written by Bill Bryson. Bryson is my favorite travel writer, and in this book he delves into what is known about Shakepeare's life. I probably wouldn't have bought it if Bryson didn't write it, but I find it quite interesting.

An Absolute Masterpiece - by R U Tolkein Krap
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

Not sure if anyone has heard of this but on Sept. 15th Jon Krakauer (author of Into The Wild) has a book coming out on Pat Tillman and it looks great.

I am currently reading "Stealing Myspace: The Battle To Control The Most Powerful Website In America" by Julia Angwin. I know it does not sound very interesting and I am reading it mostly for work purposes but it is pretty interesting.

Yup, I've been waiting since last YEAR for this book to be released. There was a problem with the publisher and Krakauer held back on releasing it. Cannot WAIT to read it! He's my all-time favorite author!

I read an interview with Krakauer and he said Tillman's mom wasn't happy with the version he had last year. It was in Entertainment Weekly.

  • I'm currently reading Remembering Harry Kalas
  • I have to admit that I am swept up in the Swayze hoopla and am buying his and his wife's memoir next week along with Krakauer's. I too have been waiting for that book for a year. Did you know that when they found Tillman that he had a copy of Under the Banner of Heaven in his backpack? It was one of his books, I believe that one.
