I think I understand the Naomi / Sayid bracelet thing. Just a hunch, but think of the girl Sayid was with, who's boss he was hired to kill. Maybe it's some sort of spy organization (maybe not a "spy" thing, but some sort of evil empire shit). Maybe the bracelet is standard issue of said organization.

Now, Sayid, being a man of the world, and knowing shit from being an Iraqi intelligence officer, may have seen the bracelet before. Maybe on some spy he met while torturing people.

So he notices it on Naomi and becomes concerned. He knows these people are "bad" because of having seen the jewelery before. So he wants to go to the ship and mess them up, or at least infiltrate them and gain their trust.

A total hunch but I don't have any other ideas as to why Sayid cares so much about Naomi (especially after seeing the bracelet), and why the future spy-girl had the same bracelet on.

I think you are TOTALLY onto something there!!! Great theory! :)

sawyer made a good point - why does kate think she'll be free off the island? i mean we know she is because we saw her flash forward...but how did she know she wouldn't go back to jail?

This takes a lot of the suspense out of the show, if Kate, Jack, etc. were to go along with it. If they decide they are happier living on the island than leaving then all the air goes out of the balloon of them wanting to get off. Obviously this doesn't happen, but they do want to go back.

Because he couldn't tell her the truth that he was suppose to kill her.

If he was just supposed to kill her, why go through the charade of dating her, etc. Just kill her the first time he is alone with her.

I wonder if the 30 minutes differnce time frame is related between the island and how the economist call came 30 minutes late/early (i dont recall)

maybe he is on the island.

I also get the feeling Sayid made a deal that was killing off people who are in some way looking for the island. When he killed the guy on the golf course it seemed as if he knew what was comming.

Yep, much like she was trying to get info out of Sayid, Sayid was trying to get info from Elsa.

An why was it so important to wait for the pager to go off.

I don't think she was the ultimate target. Her boss, Jacob Jingleheimerschmidt was.

For the record...I didn't really like last night's episode. I think partly because I read the spoiler, but also because some of my favorite characters PISSED ME OFF so much!!

I didn't really care for it much either. I wasn't blown away by Ben being off the island with Sayid.

As I was watching the episode, I kept thinking the surprise was going to be that Michael was back because I saw the name Harold Perineau (sp?) in the opening credits. I didn't see him at all during the episode, as I guess no one else did either or everyone would have had a fit here.

Yeah, time didn't fly by for me. I kept looking at the clock thinking get on with it...thanks to the bitch in me who read the spoiler. I hate her...seriously, I'm SO pissed at myself. NEVER again.

So the spoiler was that Ben was off the island?

Yeah and Sayid was in cahoots with him. Basically, it was a synopsis of the entire episode.

Well, I was just using Miles' term from last week, when Kate and danny-boy were carrying Naomi's body, he said "Thats not Naomi, thats just meat"...cause he's Mr. "I'm cool I speak to the dead with my vacuum cleaner" man.

Interesting side note I read during the week. The guy who plays Miles was also in the asylum with Uncle Junior in the Sopranos. I couldn't place him last week.

Yeah, it's funny you said that. I was thinking the same thing....even though I knew he wasn't mentioned in the spoiler. Maybe they did that as he will be on next week?

Yeah, I mentioned that last week.

He helped organize the poker game there on the Sopranos.

I think its been fairly common knowledge that Michael reappears this season, by putting his name in the regular cast credits each week, the surprise of his exact point of return won't be spoiled.
