so the whispers... obviously many have died on this island. do you think that if you die on the island and you are buried that somehow you become part of the island and alive somehow. could those whispers be the dead people that now make a sort of "council" for the island. maybe thats what smokey is??
im really liking my whacked out theories this morning

I like your theory. Does that make Jacob like the one who oversees all the other voices?
I think part of the reason that most people found this episode a little slower than the rest is that the writer was different this week. She also wrote everyone's alltime fav episode "Stranger in a Strange Land" aka the story of Jack's tattoos. Hopefully she won't be back again until next season.

that could be it. because i honestly don't hate juliet and i think some of her back stories were some of the best episodes....i just didn't like this one.
also agree that the jack/juliet kiss was one of the most awkward things i have ever watched.

I think that Jacob is the voices. Maybe he can take on different identities and that is what they are. I love the fact that all the voices are still a factor. They have been since season 1.

yeah, i was not a fan of tonight's show at all. thought it was a weak episode and didn't like seeing ben acting so pathetic running for his ham and whatnot.
LOL. I thought you were a big fan of patheticness?!!
This is the greatest band in the world -- Ben Harper
LOL. I thought you were a big fan of patheticness?!!
oh yeah, definitely. this line of his was also a big turn on: “How can you possibly not understand? You're mine!”
he really knows the way to the ladies' hearts.
ben made mention last night that goodwin thought ana lucia would be a good "other".. im sure this was just a ploy to get juliet jealous. and then goodwin ends up dying by ana lucia's hands. and she acts really shady about it but we thought it was cause she was a crazy cop. but what if she was working for ben. now i know michael shot her.. but again he was told by ben to shoot her.. so i think it would be awesome if she were the "man on the boat"... and before everyone has to go run off to do research to tell me why im wrong.. yes i know she was in jail and her contract probably was not renewed this
If I'm not mistaken, in season two, Goodwin did mention that Ana Lucia would be a good "other". He was making a case to Ben.
Charlotte is definitely a little cuckoo.
No time to be void or save up on life. You got to spend it all.
I forgot to mention this earlier, but I thought it was cool at the beginning how you didn't know if it was a flashback or flash-forward. Especially since Juliet mentioned being a celebrity. I thought that was very well done.

I noticed that. I almost bought it, but kept thinking there is no way she is one of the 6 because she wasn't on the plane.
Someone refresh my memory (I say this a lot, I know). Who killed Goodman? Was it Anna Lucia? She figured him out as a spy for The Others right? It seems so long ago now.
The whole sequence with the poison gas seemed a bit odd to me. What exactly were they doing. I know they were supposedly helping the people on the island from being poisoned, but what did they do? Were they sabotaging the gas delivery system. Maybe I just need to rewatch the episode and I'll figure it out.
So I guess Juliet is the island slut eh? We certainly found Ben's weakness! Just when you think he is an manipulating mastermind, he turns into Rachel Ray.
Is Myles still chewing on that grenade? Maybe Locke tricked him. Either way, I think he got his point across.

When the episode first started, I thought the same thing: that Juliet is one of the six but not on the plane. I think I'm in the minority but I don't think the six have to have been on the plane. Sometimes groups just get the most convenient name.
Yeah Ana Lucia killed Goodman.
I agree about the sequence with the gas being odd. I guess we were supposed to be worried, but it's so nebulous (as gas usually is) that I didn't know what to be worried about. LOL! I think, basically, they changed the gas from being poisonous gas to non-poisonous.
well, I'm all caught up...
DAMN LOST!
I watched the entire fourth season(all that was on so far) yesterday morning, which was great, except the girl and I totally forgot to pick up Jack Johnson at Red Rocks tickets!
I need two tickets, help a lost fan out!
P.S. What was that episode everyone was crying about, I was expecting Ed's brotha to die or something...
Also, can I ask who the Oceanic 6 are here? If not, I'll edit this post, but so far I believe we know these people got off's first initials: J, K, H, B, D?
PM me if I am giving too much away, or if we can't talk about who survived here.

the constant. one of the greatest episodes in the history of the show.
i think from the promo's for this thursday , you can figure out a lot of spoilers...
i like the episodes written by brian k vaughan.
i dont know how ya'll think ben was weakened in this episode. i think it proved he is even more of a bad ass.
he basically killed goodwin. and no one in the others camp has any clue.
we dont really doubt that somehow ben got a message out to juliette. we just want to know how. it says a lot when we dont question the fact that he did it. i will say though that he is being held in HIS house in HIS hiding room. not exactly where i would have hidden him.
he tells locke that people will start to question him and things will start to fall apart. and then gets lock to release him free and clear.. the one thing that will probably cause everyone to question locke and probably lead to lockes loss of leadership.
of course ben feels he owns juliette. he is a bad ass mofo. plus the island gives him whatever he wants. dead mother. boom island brings her back. (kinda) want freedom from your father? boom. the hostiles. have a tumor and need it removed? boom. world class surgeon. (i even think he told jack how the island brought him there for him.) need something to get rid of the submarine and yet save face because you told jack you would let him take it off the island? boom, locke shows up and destroys it. need something so locke will fall in line and believe the magic of the island? boom, his dad comes into the "box" so for him to want juliette, it completely stands to reason that he thinks she is his. if he wants something the island gets it for him.
It's your "Lost" Bracket. Mine's already filled out.
All the world will be your enemy, Prince with a thousand enemies, and whenever they catch you, they will kill you. But first they must catch you, digger, listener, runner, prince with the swift warning. Be cunning and full of tricks and your people shall never be destroyed.
it's official. there is nothing they don't make brackets for.
Have you filled your's out yet???

I think that you just vote on line and follow along.....I think next Monday they reveal the round one winners.
