I'm sure the previous three yankee teams have more than a combined 17 comeback wins. I'm sure of that because that stat also applies to games won 11-1 when the other team scores first and the Yankees have had a few of those.

Also, an interesting explanation by Girardi today on his WFAN spot about using Aceves in the ninth of a blowout on Monday. He said Hughes had 10 more pitches and the fact that he got hurt in Texas two years ago weighed on his mind. He also said that he didn't want Texas to see Coke for the first time in a rout.

I love Tex, and I love Joe, but Girardi has a long way to go before he and Mike Scioscia are on the same level. i'd say 2 best managers in baseball right now are Scioscia & Gardenhire

Also surprising since he played for Bobby Cox as well and Cox is pretty darn good. But there is a difference in Girardi this year, doesn't seem as uptight as last year.

MLB record.....18 straight games without an error. Passing 2006 Red Sox.
Nice little underappreciated stat. I'm not surprised a Joe Girardi team achieved this!
    Let's Keep it Rollin.....

& btw.....the play by Joba last night and the play A-Rod made on Sat (launching a bullet throw from foul ground) were 2 of the best plays I have seen in a long time.

I don't always get to watch the games sincei live in the south, but i watched joba's start last night and i was glad to see him dial it up to 98 a few times when he wanted to.

He still has it I guess he is trying to conserve it to last longer. I wish he could get it up to 95/96 consistantly throughout the game though.

Breaking ball pitches were nasty yesterday, and that diving catch was great.

You know he got the WWE belt yesterday for being the player of the game!

Wang back in the rotation and Hughes to the bullpen. Sucks for Hughes. But better than sending him down.

by the way, did you hear Sterling's call on the Matsui home run. After saying it was an A-Bomb by A-Rod, he corrects himself, by saying it would have been had A-Rod hit it. Then he proceeds to call Matsui the "Sayonara Kid". Which is more politically incorrect, saying a Japanese player hit an A-Bomb or calling him the "sayonara kid.."

What were you expecting? This guy hasn't started in six weeks when he obviously wasn't completely healed from a severe foot injury. Considering the way the offense has been able to produce lately, a few of these by Wang won't kill the Yankees and this win came on a day they rested Jeter and Posada.

he did lower his era by almost 1.5 .... that should be seen as a sucess right?

I want Wang to do well just as much as the next fan.
I'm glad they are leaving him in the rotation. Hopefully he will get it together next time.

Me too, that's why it's good to get him in the rotation, have a few starts like this that are based on building back arm strength and so on, especially when the team is hitting well.

I thought his stuff was actually pretty good, maybe the best it has been in a few starts. The Rays just run up the pitch counts.

I will be going to Yankee Stadium July 3 can't wait. First time to NYC and I was a huge yankee fan growing up Mattingly being my favourite player. Kinda lost interest with the team over last 10 years with all there crazy spending on free agents. Oddly they will be playing Toronto when I go, my hometown. Anyone have advice on where to get tickets that are no more then $60. or are my only options Ebay or Stubhub? How much are tickets going for from scalpers at stadium?

How much will cab ride be from Manhattan to Yankee stadium?

    Thanks for your help.

PM me if you have some advice. Thanks
