    What is it with two girl dogs?!? My two are constantly giving each other The Look requiring Sailor to intervene with a well-placed hip check. He actually walks in between the two of them to break them up when they start muttering to each other.

    chicks...there all the same regardless of species ;) :P :lol:

    VERY true....with cats, dogs...the girls are actually more dominant than the boys....they tend to get 'testy' with other females.

    Tank enjoys fetching a tennis ball at the park. After a while, it is coated in a thick layer of foamy slobber. Then, sometimes, he treats me to an extra special throw by dropping it in his water dish.

    Notice the amount of water pouring out of his mouth. I try to tell him that he will feel better if he closes his mouth and keeps some of the water inside, but he hasn't quite caught on yet. :lol:

  • We are picking up our puppy tomorrow!

    Our Yellow Lab, Fenway, died at the age of 13.5 in August 2009, so the time is right to complete the family once again.

    A Golden Retriever is the breed of choice this time around. Jefferson's Monticello or Monti for short will be his name. Homage to our home state.

    I do have a few images from our 1st meeting 2.5 weeks ago, but not very good, those pups like to move.

    Once I have a good shot Monti will be introduced, that and I need to learn how to post an image.

    WHAT I ASKED FOR, WHAT I NEEDED

    When I got my new dog

    I asked for strength that I might rear her perfectly;
    I was given weakness that I might feed her more treats.

    I asked for good health that I might rest easy;
    I was given a "special needs" dog that I might know nurturing.

    I asked for an obedient dog that I might feel proud;
    I was given stubbornness that I might feel humble.

    I asked for compliance that I might feel masterful;
    I was given a clown that I might laugh

    I asked for a companion that I might not feel lonely;
    I was given a best friend that I would feel loved.

    I got nothing I asked for,
    But everything that I needed.
    I got a dog
