I love Norm! He is such a cutie pie! Petey will get to taste salt water in August....I have a house in Maine for a week that allows a dog! He learned to swim 3 weeks ago in the pond near my house....and loves it! On a hot day he goes right in. Now we have him retrieving sticks.....good way to burn his excess energy.

on another note....i hadd to send my SURFER away for doggie vacation on friday. It was the first time i've hadd to do that and it was SO hard for me. I was crying and everything. I miss that little fatty boy. Hopefully i pick him up today if all goes well. Have u any idea how difficult it was getting home and not seeing him at the gate to greet me?! ugh i was torn. thats all.

yes!!!! i always tell people that when i go away on trips or something that its SO hard leaving Surf but man i LOVE coming home to him! He has this deep rott bark and gets crazy if theres strangers approaching the yard. But when he sees me, he turns into a wimpering puppy and i LOVE IT!!! my mom SWEARS his cries interpret into 'mom'!!!! hahahaha

I called to check on him and the lady told me 'well, he's fine he's fine. he barks alot when we walk by but he's doing good. maybe he isnt used to being in a confined area for an amount of time? we're taking care of him though.' :( NO HE'S NOT USED TO CONFINED SPACES!!!!! ugh

My roomate has a great dog...and I love her to bits! totally a dog person!
My fav. thing about dogs right now is how in the summer time they are soo hot from the heat and whatnot that they look like they are smiling all the time!
And...they lay around on the ground like the heat is litterally killing them...so you can't really complain about how hot you are...when you look over at them all sprawled out on the ground...panting...lol
