you can walk up to the counter in the official team store across the street from Fenway.
    Its the souvenier store-

    19 yawkey way.

all NYY yankee fans should be forewarned :

There is alot of Red in this store ! !

youll have fun its a blast.
wear your yankee hat and you instantly become part of the tour .

    Thanks Bathy!
I don't think I'd have the audacity to wear my cap in Boston
Where did you stay up there? Is there any not so safe areas for a female to steer clear of? I've never been up there, I'd really enjoy seeing some of the sights!

Did anyone see the replay of the 7/1/04 Yanks-Sox game on YES today? Where Jeter dove head first into the stands?! It was great!

Way to salvage the split last night, but damn this mediocrity sucks. I guess the big problem is with all the injuries they just haven't been able to go on long win streaks.

Feel bad for Moose not making the All Star squad (though he could still find a spot as a replacement). A lot of guys with really good first halves got snubbed. And with the game at The Stadium it woulda been nice to see him take the hill. I think they should do away with the one player for every team rule. The only exception I would make to the rule would be for the home team. The home team should always have a rep. there, but other than that, there shouldn't be any charity. The fan voting does enough of that.

I also think basing WS home field on the All Star Game is wrong. The team with the best regular season record should get home field advantage. If they had identical records then either flip a coin or use another predetermined statistic as the tie breaker.

Anyone know if any Yankee minor leaguers have a shot at making the Olympic Team?

Nice start by Andy Pettitte. Glad he came out for the 8th. Lowered his era to 3.93 from 4.22.

He has pitched very well in his last 10 starts. He is 7-1 and has only given up 26 runs in 65 innings.
Hey, you wouldn't hire a clown to fix a leak in the jon so why do you let these hooligans tear down the biz? YEEAAHHH. I don't care if he is Mr. Notorious BIG, can he croon?
  • what a dipshit. seriously, another decade of this clown. i don't care if he hits 900 homeruns. gee, maybe during the 2004 ALCS he should have been focused on getting to his first WS, not bedding some Boston slag

this whole thing with a-rod's love life is getting out of hand.

i am sure jeter is banging multiple girls in every city the yanks plan in, you don't see him all over the papers.

mickey mantle? notorious drunk and sex fiend. it's what professional athletes do... only difference is the media LOVES to pick on and single out a-rod.

yeah but Derek's not married. I agree they are focusing way too much on A-Rod though. Baseball players have been doing things like that forever (not like that makes it ok). I'm sick of hearing about him and C-Rod. It must be a slow news week and they have nothing else to talk about.

There's an article about this in the Post too, I just read it. She was cute. It was really funny, she credits herself with breaking the curse. The girl may have a point.
He is undoubtedly a dumb-ass though. See I told y'all he was a curse on the team!

man, how many times do I have to go over this? :) He came to our team and we haven't won a championship since that time. ARod=Hex. He's done it to the other teams he's been on also, Seattle and Texas.

He came in 2004. We haven't won since 2000. We haven't won because our pirching in the postseason hasn't been there. And as a whole. They haven't been hitting.

    yes
and do you recall what happened in the '04 playoffs?
and reading about him bandying himself about in Boston with some chick on the side when he should have been focused on preparing himself mentally for the game, does not help the matter.

yes. the whole team stopped hitting. After they scored 18 runs I think in game 3. I knew they weren't going to do anything after that.

I don't like the guy. if he can't have enough sense to keep his male-skanky ways on the dl, like everyone else, he's just a dumb-ass. And he's creating a distraction with all this front-page soap opera nonsense.

They were on the dl. You haven't heard about it until now. Just like stuff came out about Roger Clemens way after the fact. If there is a fact. So far everything is hearsay. Other than him killing someone. We should just be concerned on what he does on the field. Like most people work is a way out. To get away from your problems outside.

Mariano 50 k's in 42.1 ip. 1.06 era. and 0.64 whip. If he keeps this up he can be considered for CY Young.

and remember, Seattle and Texas were both supposed to get much worse when they lost him. They both got much, much better immediately after he left. i'll look it up later, but they both improved by 15 or so games the year after the best player in baseball left their team. A curse may b a bit strong, but he's definately a drag on teams. You think guys like it when, after winning these last 2 against Tampa, and 2 straight from Boston before that, they have to answer questions about ARod and what he did with his D-Rod?

good point. who's his main competition at this point?

Cliff Lee, Joe Saunders, Justin duchscherer...not exactly household names

i didn't hear any questions about that after those games. i heard one before the game for girardi about dealing with a player that has that going on.

and seattle won 116 games after he signed with texas in 2001, of course they replaced him with a great player like ichiro.

yeah, but same could be said about giambi, moose, matsui, wang, cano. those are five core guys that have been with the team same amount of time or longer than arod.

he's not a curse. the whole team falls off the map come playoff time.

sheffield, jeter, arod, giambi, matsui going a combined something like 4-30 in games 4-7 is what did us in in 2004. oh, and also mariano blowing a few saves.

But they need a bat off the bench. There bullpen seems okay for now. They have other pitchers in the minors who can come up. Bruney is on his way hopefully. I know Richie Sexson isn't hitting great. But I hear he has good numbers off lefthanders.
