    really? not even one measly save? jeez. but it comes down to pitching judgement and cashman's recent track record is well shaky would be putting it nicely..

    jetter is by far the worst and leadershipless captain around he just doesn't ever step to the plate for any of his teamates ,remember AROD boston fight enough said.........

    What did you want from him, to come storming in throw a few punches and be suspended for a month? Maybe go in swinging a bat since Toughnuts Varitek had his full gear of catchers equipment on?

    Mussina is pitching in Trenton on Friday and will rejoin the Yanks for the Texas series May 1-3.

    I'm still not worried about this team. They are getting healthy and will right the ship. Excited to see Hughes pitch tomorrow night.

    As far as Jeter's leadership goes. He isn't an in your face kinda guy. He leads by example and I'm sure he does a lot that you don't see or hear about. Every one has their own style. That doesn't mean he isn't a good leader. Their are other guys on this team who fill the "in your face" role. Everything I have read about Posada says that he is that guy. Judging by remarks that Mussina made about Pavano earlier in the year, I think he fills some of that role as well. This team isn't a bunch of emotional players. They reflect the style of their captain and their manager. You can argue whether that is good or not, but the team has won something like 11 straight Division titles.
    Going back to the whole bench clearing brawl example someone brought up, I have actually seen guys protecting Jeter and trying to keep him away from the melee during a brawl as opposed to helping the player actually involved in the fight. That says a lot about what they think of him.

    Yanks game isn't on MLB Extra Innings tonight. Damn! Was looking forward to seeing Hughes pitch.

    As far as the bloody sock, I actually went to the HOF last summer and saw the sock. Unfortunatley I didn't get a picture of it, but I did snap this one. ;)

    Al Leiter is calling the game w/Michael Kay.

    Hughes' 1st pitch was a ball to Alex Rios, who has now just gotten a hit.

    Yeah he fits right in :)

    Edit: Then he threw a 94mph fastball for a strike out. Not bad.

    Uh oh..Vernon Wells hit RBI double

    Blue Jays lead 1-0

    They have Hughes on a pitch count..




    Now it's 2-0 Blue Jays, bottom of 1

    Its a safe link. Aaron Boone's bat he used to hit the game winning HR vs the Sox in the playoffs. The HOF is a great place for Yankee fans. I was in awe.

    I know people who were at that ALCS game. I still get goose bumps when I see the highlights...that was one of the greatest games ever.

    You sure didn't miss much in last night's game. I guess you can't see tonight's game either? It's 2-0 Red Sox, end of 3. Youkilis? (sp?) hit a 2 run homer off Andy.
