What do you not agree with the church on?

see, I can't speak for "the church" as a whole. That would be presumptuous.

I have just seen a lot of people look down on others for living life ways that are not really good ways instead of trying to love those people and maybe really showing them what Jesus would look like if that is what we are trying to live our lives like.

There are many good Christians who attend all sorts of churches and if their life is truly showing an example of Christ's love, then they are doing what is right in that regard. Going to a certain church doesn't make you more in touch with Jesus. Being "saved" doesn't make you closer to Him either. I believe our hearts and our attitudes are what make us truly believers or not. And while Jesus got mad in the righteous anger ways, the ways that we should get mad when some innocent person gets beat up, raped, murdered, abused, or when some priest molests a young boy while hiding behind the cloth, I do not believe that He ever got mad just because people did not agree with Him. Even the pharisees who pushed His buttons big time were responded to calmly when they tried to corner Him in His responses.

And while some would think this is disrespectful, I think in His mind he was thinking "assholes", only in Biblical words.

sorry I love Jesus and respect Him 100% but I think we have done to Him what we do to other "stars" in our lives and idealize them beyond belief.

Just live and let live. If your friend is happy then you should be happy for him. Different strokes for different folks. Atheism can be its own form of brainwashing.

Please Explain this too me....is there such a thing of thinking to logically???

When people start talking brainwashing, oh fuck, I mean religion (I seriously didn't do that on purpose it's just how my fingers were typing. Usually I'd backspace and start over, but I found it interesting.) Anywho - I find myself feeling  and I'm a little  inside. I try not to  and just :), nod and go back to doing my business.

It's cool that you want to show love to these people, however, what do you mean with "not really good ways"?

I have nothing against people worshiping/believing whatever they want, but it is very annoying when you have to hear someone go on and on about this new thing they discovered called Jesus Christ and how they hope you'll give him a chance, too. :D
I don't see the problem... when I discovered PJ I thought 'everyone should listen to this' and the odd time I try to force it down somebody's throat... same when I discovered adventure books, I don't understand why people don't TRY them :D . If you find something that changes your life you'd think everybody should do it too. It's human nature probably.

Agreed... if a 'way', any 'way', works for you, you think it's the right way. I've seen enough of people of ALL kinds of religions and non religions trying to force their views down peoples throats.. in fact, I was more likely to do it when I had no belief :D so I'd like to THINK I don't do the same... if you've found something that makes you happy, whether it's believing or not believing... well good for you. For fuck sake, I even pretended to be interested in what the mormons had to say just so I could let them think they're doing some good. There's no harm in it. You have to see that they want good for you... it's not like they're wishing you harm.

On a related note, it's no less annoying to hear someone trying to force you to not try it than it is to hear the opposite.
