a construction site,, everyone looks like bums,,but its the norm
I'm sure there's millions of construction workers who take umbridge with you classifying them as looking like "bums".
Wearing jeans and work boots as a safety precaution is not looking like a bum.

Many of them go to the pub afterwards in their workgear... people can generally tell the difference between a construction worker and a bum. Bum's (and that's a stupid term by the way) don't usually have concrete and dust all over them.

Ooohh... I meant people working in hotels... I understand why they have to wear a uniform... so people can recognise them as staff... and hotels are all about appearances anyway! Whether it's the facade, the decor or the people staying there.

So yeh, I understand there is a difference in how a waitress should be presented compared to a lumberjack :D

It's similar for other professions. There is a 'professional' look.

    What the hell is that?
You found people in Saskatoon wearing suits and dresses, as opposed to overalls and rubber boots. I am intrigued.

    lol so far from it

    u have no idea

shit im a bum out of work sweats and jeans t-shirts all the time

just in the professional workplace dress accordingly is all im saying
  • Jeans,a sweater, and sneakers...every day

People are such hypocrites and it's fun to watch them in action. When I go to one of my banks...they know me and offer me a bagel and a cup of joe...

When I go to open an account somewhere else it usually takes them a few minutes to bring around the bagels and joe.

But eventually they will... They always do;)
