We used to have casual friday's and management bitched. Then they took it away and employees bitched. Now we can wear jeans everyday, they gave upNERDS!0 -

Suits suck...they're for Weddings and Funerals.
I don't trust people in suits....They're phoney...
I see someone in a suit they're usually trying to sell me something...insurance or god usually.
Suits are for the older generations...we don't need them anymore.the Minions0 -

cool people only wear slacks when they reach the age of 67 and the roomy fit allows them to hide their colostomy bag easier.
i dress down everyday... i'd hate to wear slacks and suits to work... i truly would hate itoh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.0 -
scrubs everyday for me.....even when I'm off!"It's all happening"0

i work in hotels, and suits are a must because you are around guests, and they want you to have the "professional look." i hated that shit. luckily, the hotel i am at now, promotes a more casual attire, so i can get away with shirt/no tie, and casual pants.0

i never said you did make the rules.. i was saying wearing slacks is for octogenarians... the outfit you described earlier made me think of Carlton Banks from the Fresh Prince of Bel Airoh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.0 -

Nope.
It is called having some respect for your appearance.
It's not just America...try that shit in Italy. You would look homeless.Cause I'm broken when I'm lonesome
And I don't feel right when you're gone away0 -

you're right... it's impossible to look your best everyday. but i don't know many companies that will fire you because you are having a bad hair day, or because your dress shirt isn't ironed to perfection.
if you like the job, you deal with the attire that they require you to wear. it's not the end of the world if they want you to wear a shirt and tie.0 -
