I do recall him stating he would never play in Canada because of something the media did or a story that was going around up here, can't remember what because he is a tool.

Toronto seemed to be on the right path in making player personel decisions, why would they revert back to their stupid ways ?
    I agree.

Malkin deal near, and Rolston is checking out free agency instead of signing with the Lightning... (...before 12 eastern, at least).

That's funny..it seems every free agent period or trade deadline you would hear Torres mentioned

I'm liking Brad Stuart staying in Detroit for 4 years at 3.75 mil a season. That front 4 is very intimidating

    Lidstron / Rafalski / Kronwall / Stuart

    Yep, yesterday.

Lightning just got Radim Vrbata from Phoenix, and Dupuis has resigned with Pittsburgh.

http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/ there is a tracker there, but the headlines are probably better...I think the tracker only shows signings, no trades...the forums there are pretty on the ball too....

    Check this out now :

The threat of retirement is not standing in the way of NHL teams taking a hard run at free agent forward Mats Sundin.

Sources tell TSN as many as four teams have tabled offers for the 37 year old, including the Vancouver Canucks, who have offered a whopping $10 million per year on a two-year contract.

Sundin, who remains in Sweden is said to considering all of his options, but has yet to decide whether or not he play next season.

Sundin scored 32 goals and 46 assists for 78 points in 74 games with the Toronto Maple Leafs last season. It was his best offensive season since 2001-2002 when he notched 80 points.

Sundin, who has 1321 points in 1305 career NHL games, has been with the Maple Leafs since 1994.
