    Perhaps that is so, perhaps I just expected too much from your behavioral patterns.

    On that note

    Jesus = Mass Hallucination

    God = Myth

    Evil, Sin = Vicious Lies
    I necessarily have the passion for writing this, and you have the passion for condemning me; both of us are equally fools, equally the toys of destiny. Your nature is to do harm, mine is to love truth, and to make it public in spite of you. - Voltaire

    Look, i'm not going to waste my time debating with YOU something that has already been put to bet by every credible, credentialed historian alive. NO ONE credible argues the existence of the historical Jesus anymore! His divinity is perhaps debateable. His existence just isn't.

    That argument does not hold up to historical muster....i think Jesus, if that was even his name, existed in some form. i just dont think he was what the new testament says he was

    If it's so obvious and backed up by 'every credible, credentialed historian alive' then it won't be at all difficult for you to provide at least one piece of evidence.

    I dont understand why people put so much emphasis on science.

    even if Jesus did walk on water and all that shit, he never played guitar like J Mascis or Mr. Mike McCready, so really how good could he be?

    Thank you for your brilliant ability in cutting and pasting another man's words. Quite original. See, you can make a point by just seeking the answers yourself. You don't have to steal someone else's words....

    Nice? Are you kidding me?

    What's nice about religious kooks who insist that anyone who doesn't believe as they do and in what they believe in; that they are going to burn in hell?

    It's not NICE to repeatidly knock on my front door and ring my bell, at 7:00 AM on a Saturday morining; to "enlighten " me about "your" god.

    What's not NICE is religious organizations who refuse to pay taxes, but spend their money on lobbyists in Washington, lobbying and influencing Congress to create Laws and policies that reflect their religious beliefs.

    If the religious people can't handle an opinion and belief that differs from theirs, then they need to shut the fuck up about their opinions and beliefs!

    Historical evidence is not scientific evidence, it's based on interpretation :
    2 historians can disagree on one fact.
    make up your opinion
    Though I don't really see the point on arguing the historical existence of jesus.

    Hmmmm......Jesus is not the problem, but the people who claim they "love" Jesus and know of his message. They are the problem.

    Most self-proclaimed Christians don't even have the slightest clue of Jesus' message. That much is obvious.

    Further more, this coming from a guy has often expressed and celebrated a desire to see Israel bomb the crap out of their Palestinian neighbors or any Muslims in general. Is that the peaceful way of life you speak of?

    Sorry, but you don't have to believe in Jesus to have a peaceful way of life.

    Gandhi comes to mind.

    There is someone at my work, and evangelical christian, that believes the only path to heaven is through Jesus. The ONLY path. So, no matter how good, peaceful, moral, good-doer you are, if you don't accept Jesus as your "personal lord and savior", you are not saved.

    I have a problem with that. And I have a problem with a religion that preaches that no matter how good I am, I'm still going to hell because I didn't accept Jesus.

    I've got to hand it to you, you've got a point, here. Many people I know, they dislike the views, opinions and judgments of Christians. And yet, at the end of the day, most Christians that I know, in terms of their behaviour DO act in a reasonably solid, decent manner, quite consistently. They ARE nice!

    Well, most of the people I've ever met are nice. I think jerks are exceptions rather than the rule, for any type of people.

    When someone does something nice, my the first words out of my mouth are not "you're so nice, are you a Christian?"
