The reason why they're coming here is because it isn't mexico. Mexico is broke and corrupted beyond imagination. If they still owned this land, this land would be broke and corrupt too. In which, they'd just migrate to wherever there wasn't poverty and unrestricted corruption.

Live here and then talk. I guarantee you'd be singing a different tune -especially if you lived in socal.

Sponger...you ever been to Mexico...cause I have...many many times...lived for alittle while in Mexico City....it aint that bad...absolutely beutiful areas and people....and the middle class is growing. Lots of nice new cars...shopping centers...neighborhoods...as far a corruption...well I think its worse in the US.....there they admit its part of their culture..here...we're just paying under the table....Lobbiests. Yes the US has much higher wages and thats the reason they come here.....and its cause people are paying them the money..and in Texas its the Republican that are paying them...sooooo..Please.

why do you keep bumping into them? don't you open your eyes... that way you would see the neon sign above them flashing their "illegal" status...

ironically the mexicans in texas and what not used to be able to roam and hunt in that land as they wished... it wasnt until the white immigrants came and shot them and created an american border that they became 'immigrants' trying to get back onto their own soil!!! how fucked up is that?!?!

c-worker and I discussed this topic today.......seems to me..the Mexican has more rights to this country than the white man.....fuck we obliterated the Indians..and now are telling them they can't come back...fk.

  • My opinion...Too little Too Late! There are so many Mexicans here illegally it's rediculous. I live in a small town in Ohio & they're everywhere. I'm all for people coming to America as long as it's done LEGALLY & they learn ENGLISH! That should be a requirement! Actually, I'd better not get started on this topic. It's a sore on for me.

We can still argue that, when the settlers arrived, they didn't had to deal with such method with the native americans.

Then we can say it was then, and now is now.

On top of that I could say, you got your hands on that land by dirty means, you get now an answer. That way is in no less "evil" than the one used a loooong time ago. You could think of it as a punishment ;)

History as a funny way of repeating itself ;)

YOU think THEY should learn YOUR ways when, in the first place, YOU slaughtered THEM.

See my point? In which way is it more fair YOUR way?

Technically, YOU should all apologize and move out ;)

pretty heated debate...I dont really know what for...People come into this country all the time illegally, has it really changed your life? I haven't heard one person say this has impacted their life. I live in a sanctuary city known as Denver CO...Once illegals get here, they can stay without consiquence, regardless of their status. Denver is at the focal point of the debate due to a couple of recent incidences regarding criminal illegals. Overall I would have to say that I and the illegal have lived in harmony. For those of you who say, hey the illegal is taking my job! Yeah right, when was the last time you saw a white guy like me busting ass and laying bricks or doing any type of labring for that matter...dont worry I'll wait...yeah never. Give me a break, they've been here forever, and they'll continue to be here. So I will suggest this. Learn spansih (it's really easy, in less than a week in an emersion class and you'll have it_) as Spanglish will soon become the common language, I know you hate it, but it's true and only a matter of time. Embrace!

no not exactly..in fact just the opposite! :)

What you may find suprising my young friend is that I am a conservative business owner looking to earn as much money as I can with paying as little tax as I can. My point is that noting will keep people out of this country so we all need to learn and embrace this fact. It's been going on for years, so why now all the hooplah!?!

two different things, I doubt very little you would be interested in any work they endure day in and day out.

And the sign said "Long-haired freaky people need not apply"
So I tucked my hair up under my hat and I went in to ask him why
He said "You look like a fine upstanding young man, I think you'll do"
So I took off my hat, I said "Imagine that. Huh! Me workin' for you!"
    Whoa-oh-oh

    Sign, sign, everywhere a sign
Blockin' out the scenery, breakin' my mind
Do this, don't do that, can't you read the sign?

And the sign said anybody caught trespassin' would be shot on sight
So I jumped on the fence and-a yelled at the house, "Hey! What gives you
    the
    right?"
"To put up a fence to keep me out or to keep mother nature in"
"If God was here he'd tell you to your face, Man, you're some kinda sinner"

    Sign, sign, everywhere a sign
Blockin' out the scenery, breakin' my mind
Do this, don't do that, can't you read the sign?

Now, hey you, mister, can't you read?
You've got to have a shirt and tie to get a seat
You can't even watch, no you can't eat
You ain't supposed to be here
The sign said you got to have a membership card to get inside
    Ugh!

    [Lead Guitar]

And the sign said, "Everybody welcome. Come in, kneel down and pray"
But when they passed around the plate at the end of it all, I didn't have a
    penny to pay
So I got me a pen and a paper and I made up my own little sign
I said, "Thank you, Lord, for thinkin' 'bout me. I'm alive and doin' fine."
    Wooo!

    Sign, sign, everywhere a sign
Blockin' out the scenery, breakin' my mind

the white person rate huh...well deemed by the federal Govment the white person rate, the black person rate, the brown person rate, the yellow person rate is right around $5.15 an hour..this is legally what you could be being payed...nowhere in the law do I read about a "white person rate."

no actually I had the opportunity to talk to my illegal foreman here in denver who heads the illegal crew who rehabs all the fix and flip properties I own and he explained to me that I was paying him and his employees right around 10.25 and hour. Course I've dealt with many different contractors over the years and I would pay this one crew double that if they asked me to. They are mexican, here illegally, and do much better work than any "white man" crew that I've run into. If you really want to get into it, I will argue that the white man is one lazy ass mother fucker...see I am one and I know better!

I understand where your comming from, and if these arguments you present were factually true, I would bite...but honestly, nothing can change the fact that in my lifetime the hardest and best workers (who I pay more than twice the minimum wage) have done nothing but give me their best. Those posing the argument only want three times the minimum wage and put out 1/2 of the work...you cant argue with this!

yeah hey it's Colorado, Washington, Nebraska, Arizona, and Montana where I employ these people, it may just be this particular neck of the woods.

Again I understand, and agree but the problem is the demand. This whole thing would be a dead issue if those here legally offered what the illegals offered.

um no, there is no "in depth" conversation here. If you offered the "bust my ass 24-7 until the job was done" service like they do, we wouldnt have this discussion. There is nothing more to it.
