I can never run for president, I was not blessed with an american birth ;)
Point about americas democracy is this, unless you are have corporate interests in mind, unless you have multi millions of dollars, you can never win.

The best candidate does'nt win, the most corrupt does. or something along those lines.

I think you might want to talk to Ahnimus about determinism, and about whether or not MrBrian really can run for president (edit: or could have, were he born in America), given the variables of his life. (hint: the idea is a bit of an illusion that keeps people feeling potent when they are not really so potent. ).

Yeah, I just noticed, and went in to edit the post.

But again, do you think YOU can become president in your land of opportunity, or can you see that it's a bit of a myth that keeps people feeling free and happy?

American law doesn't allow me to run for president. Though american, I was born in France, in an american hospital, on an american base (my dad was in the army) but still.. in France... So that excludes me from the presidency!

But.. my father was serving his country.. american bases are considered american soil.... Should I be at a disadvantage because my father was sent by his goverment to another country? I was born american, I have not acquired american citizenship by other means. BTW your stance is incorrect because now the law has changed, not retrospectively, but it has changed. So you no longer need to be born in the US to run for president.
