just cracked open the tube # 2

they put all 5 posters on top of each other ( we knew that from last time .)

this time, they put the boston 1 whale on the top ( outside )

the dark purple/blue of the whales body has a line from posters top to bottom, straight thru the body of moby. wtf !

it looks like the edge of the craft paper when it was rolled up

i know you dont want to touch the ink with your fingers, or rub it , so now what the F ?

just a heads up- you may want to open it up and take a look .

thats weak dude. you'd think for the $50 for s/h we paid, they could've thrown in sheets of paper between each poster.

did you send them an email yet?

Can you post a picture of it ? Is it a bend in the poster, or is it a mark through the image? If it's a mark, you can probably get it out.

Man, that's horrible. I'd complain. But, I guess there isn't much they can do other than refund your money.

Art supply stores sell scummex pads. The pads are used to remove dirt and such from drawings. It's not abbrasive, but very soft, and it may work for you. It is filled with eraser like material in almost a powder form.

It was lame of them to do that. You people paid good money for their prints.
Sorry to hear this. Good luck.

I noticed they're hiring again. Maybe they need a webmaster.

I know this isn't the right place for this, but I'm just trying to hit up all possibilities. If you have, know someone who has, or know where I can find this poster...I would be forever in your debt. I will buy/trade/sell my body to get it. Let me know please.

Mine looks exactly the same - there's a vertical line through the whale. Are you sure this was caused by rolling the posters or could it be a defect that shows up in every copy?

You guys have got me worried. Not gonna be home for a few more days. I'll report in when I get back!

  • We were happy before (for the most part) asking Jenne questions such as when do the tubes ship and such, now that we are unhappy campers I can only imagine what her inbox will look like.

PS - Santos L. Halper rules all. Maybe a "Semi-Celebrity Deathmatch" between Santos L. Halper and Jenne J/K! :)

It happens a lot, it is just from the poster being rolled. Happened to my Hartford that I bought at the show, affected the areas of black ink - just take a hand towel or an almost-dry kitchen sponge or something and wipe over the effected areas, it'll come right off. Don't worry, you can touch your posters, they're not going to crumble before your eyes....
  • i have the line too. I was able to rub it out very gently with my thumb. mine wasnt that bad

by the way, I used a " grab it " dry deep pocketed cloth wipe to gently brush across the schmegma and it all came off clean ! Those things are ace ! All hail to Moby ! ;)

First I am looking for the following and will pay reasonable cash:

Milwaukee Summerfest 07/08/1995 (not sure if poster exists)
    East Troy 06/26/98
    East Troy/Chicago 10/8/00
    Toronto 06/28/03
    Vote for Change 10/04
    Kitchener 9/11/05
Detroit 5/22/06 (Wondering if someone wants to unload a subscription poster)

I don't have anything to trade but will pay reasonable cash. If you sell to me you get two things:

    1. Knowing your selling to a collector not some prick flipper.
    2. The knowlege that you relieved a small amount of frustation I've suffered at all these venues of not getting a poster.

Now I have a ton of questions:
    1. When posters are sold on 10c, are the sales announced?

    2. When posters go on sale at Ames, is it the next morning? What time? (remember to include time zone for relevance) What is the price in the morning?

    3. I've read Klausen doesn't have a website. Any way to get posters from him besides ebay?

Thanks for all the help. May the karma gods give you speed to the merch tables at the next show.
