quick question for the do-it-yourselfers, what is your preference with acrylic? Do you go with the standard, or pay the extra $10 for the non-glare? (It adds up after 5 or 6 frames). Have you noticed a major difference between them at all?

    Thanks.

You are absolutely right about the mattresses.
But seriously, why are you "afraid" of americanframe? I'd be much more afraid of leaving my poster in the hands of some stranger at a store who gets paid barely over minimum wage even WITH certification (and that's not to say everyone who frames at Michael's even has that certification). With americanframe, the poster never leaves your site. I just don't understand it.

afraid of f'ing it up and wasting the money i guess

it's weird but it also, in a way, seems like since it's so expensive to get it done by michaels or whoever... that it must be difficult

    which doesn't necessarily make sense

i'm going the american frame route...

if i fuck up i'm coming to get you ;)

I have one (non-PJ) print with the non-glare acrylic from American Frame and can't say I like it too much. I mean, I'm not a big fan of glare in general but the non-glare stuff adds kind of a fuzzy/translucent look depending on the angle. Hard to describe, really, but I stick with the regular acrylic now.

looks like americanframe.com is running a sale where they give you a free basic mat board. Nothing big, but it'll save you about $10 per frame. Do they offer these kinds of deals often, ala art.com's different sales each week?

    Hmmm.....

BigPoppas website has been down since Friday evening .

Could some impending Leg 2 or maybe even Leg 3 news be too far away ?

And about the tubes waiting at the post office ,

    if that is true

then that means we are still due for another tube,... being that we were charged for 3 shippments . ?

    Boston II
    Detroit
    Cleveland
    Philly I

That's it. Just those 5 posters...no extra goodies this tube. Also, there are two post office labels on the tube...one label is dated the 14th...and the other was dated the 16th...so apparently there WAS some delay and they were indeed held at the post office for a couple days before being sent out. Weird. So I guess Tube 3 will have Philly II, East Rutherford...and all the goodies.

The reason Michael's gets away with charging so much is beyond me. Granted, they do all of the cutting. Frame pieces, mat, glass....oh, wait, that's right. Most of them have the glass cutting and frame cutting outsourced. So yeah, no clue.
You really should be fine Lou. And if you come to get me, make sure it's just for help :) Which I'd be more than glad to give you if you need it.
