For most cases, the mother who want's a "choice", has already had a choice. Pro-Choice is really Pro-Second Choice. While I agree that abortions should be allowed in the case of rape, I can see how people don't think that it's the baby's fault. People need to take responsibility for their actions... not trade it for a vote!

Criminals don't obtain guns legally, if legal guns were taken away, crime would skyrocket. This has happened everywhere a government has taken the guns from the people.

Life is a very fragile thing, it's not that hard to kill someone with your bare hands.

Your trying to compare apples and oranges, that is why it doesn't make sense! There really is no such thing as pro-war. Just beacause you support the troops doesn't make you pro-war. And remember, the US is at war with evil people who have made their choices. Unborn babies have not had chance to make choices.

You are basically trying to equate evil terrorists that want to kill US citizens, to unborn babies that are aborted because mommy couldn't keep her legs shut.

Woah, this post hits like every propoganda point on the Christian Republican pamphlet. Well done. Wait. No. What about the gays?

I worked at a Catholic Charities group home on Long Island for teenage mothers and their babies. We could not discuss any form of birth control- no condoms- it was nuts!

I worked on Long Island for St. Christopher-Ottilie... under the Diocese of Brooklyn

We weren't "supposed to" either. We did anyway... ;)

    Catholic Church= biggest scam going

I have to agree with this....

I'm baptized, did the holy comunion and I'm confirmed went through 12 years of catholic school and in a way I'm glad I did because it allowed to chose not to be catholic anymore once I had free will and didn't have to go with what my parents wanted....

You will just like an idiot doing it, but based on your thread posting in Porch....Not suprised.

Why the Fuck is this thread here????? Anyone?

Maybe you can get this for your kid?

Rascist -- like a combination between racist and fascist. I think I am going to use that one.

Why not throw in flag burning. What else?

Oh, and you're still on the global warming does not exist thing? Even Bush gave up on that one. Awesome.

    Just a FYI
Last Oct. I'm walking through Philly past the liberty bell and there are these a-holes all over the place with giant color posters of dead babies! Mangled, bodiless.
These were all brain washed "Christian" kids under 21!

I went up to one girl -I won't repeat what I said-she wouldn't look at me. She kept saying the same thing over and over to whatever I said. Like a programmed robot on a mission.

We're all products of those who surrounded us throughout our lives, and therefore, technically, are all brain-washed and programmed. I don't think anyone's opinion is more or less valid than another's for that very reason... as far as how robotic we are, I feel that we're all basically equally robotic, just with different things to say.

No, I don't hate on people for their opinions, but they should be their own, and they should have the brains to back up what they say.

Lets ban abortion so women can have them in peoples basements or throw them in dumpsters. Its a health issue no matter how "Holier than thou" u wanna sound.

If I was in a position that I got someone pregnant(obviously her ultimate decision, I choose giving birth) but its not that simple....then when these babies are born and your conservative asses dry up social programs to care for them...u really look good

You are basically trying to equate evil terrorists that want to kill US citizens, to unborn babies that are aborted because mommy couldn't keep her legs shut.

I had this discussion with my pro-life friend the other day and she said nearly the same thing. I've been thinking about the concept since then. That the choice is available not to have sex if you don't want to have a child. This is true, but there seems to be an element of wanting to punish the wanton woman who's not being a 'good girl'. I have two major disagreements with that.

One: It's a cultural norm in the US for unmarried women to have sex outside of marriage and without the intention of conceiving a child. I hear some pro-life supporters assuming that all women who get pregnant during consentual sex and have abortions, were not using contraception. This is not true. Contraception is not 100% effective. Your phrase "mommy couldn't keep her legs shut", suggests that a woman should not have sex unless she wants to conceive a child at that moment. An unwanted pregnancy is not necessarily the result of irresponsibility.

Two: If it is irresponsibility that caused the pregnancy, why would we want to force THAT woman to have a child? Every child IS precious and deserves a willing, healthy and ready mother to carry it through pregnancy and to raise it.

No matter what you spin, abortion is a dispicable, degrading, deadly act. If you want to have sex, suffer the consequences and give the baby up for adoption. I love the fake argument that women will die by illegal abortions. Why do women need such a disgusting choice? Is that all they can fight for? Most of the the feminazis hate men so bad they don't have sex anyways, so why are they fighting it? This is not about choice; it's about death.

What about the women that have been raped? What about the 13 year old girl who's parents fucked up by not paying attention to her and not discussing sex or contraceptives? The same parents that then sign a waiver saying they don't want their kid in sex ed.

And adoption. That would be great wouldn't it? Too bad there's an overabundance of children in orphanages already that people don't fucking want. And then the right wingers tighten the rope by saying that children adopted by gay/lesbian couples are worse off than if they weren't adopted at all. But when they turn 18 and end up on the streets, the same right wingers don't want anything to fucking do with them.

We had a similar thing come to my college campus last year. They had huge billboards set up in the courtyard and the kids were "diguised" as college kids with backpacks, ect... They would just start talking to us to see how we felt then start in on their robot bullshit. It was really offensive and I think it was the wrong way to stand up for their cause.
