How screwed up do you have to be to make Marcus look like the good one? Also, how about Ricky Williams?

Besides the future jail term it looks like his NFL career has a good chance of being over.

Get ready for the orange jumpsuit MV.

Funny though that you can kill, maim bet on a dog and he'll get up to 20 years while a preacher's wife can can shoot and kill her husband and get out of jail in 6 MONTHS. Worse now she's seeking custody of her dead husband's kids, guess what she'll probably get them.

    Sad case of American justice.

The rumor is that his plea negotiations are slow because he wants word from the NFL on how any such bargain would effect his current contract and future prospects in the league.

  • he was never that good anyway. a good runner sometimes yeah but never was an accurate passer that could stay in the pocket and do what a real quarterback does. he was over paid over glorified and would have gotten critically injured on one of his runs and forced to retire anyway. as for the dog fighting. it's cruel sick shit and just shows what kind of animal he is. not a good role model to have around the nfl. they should drop him immediately he's worthless anyway.

I've seen that. I've also heard the NFL plans on giving him no such indications whatsoever of what will happen until his deal is worked out.

I agree with their methods.......he is really backed into a corner....and I don't suspect that the NFL will be cutting him any deals. He has flushed his career and his God-given talent right down the drain.

this whole case is so wrong on so many levels.

my first question is if you are going to be involved in some illegal shit, why would you name your enterprise "bad newz kennels"? thats totally stupid and is just begging for an investigation in my opinion. if you were just a breeder as they originally contended, why would you call it that? its like you are looking to adopt a dog, would the first place you look be called "bad newz kennels"

assuming he is guilty, with all of the rest of the defendants copping pleas and all, this guy deserves whatever he gets. hopefully its the max. the judge said that he might not go with sentencing guidelines so the book might get thrown at mr. vick.

lastly if the nfl lets this guy return, what does it say about its new conduct policy?

I had the misfortune of attending a dog fight when I was younger, about 19 yrs old. I knew nothing of the sport and didn't realize how brutal and inhumane it was. After the first bout the hung the losing dog. I felt fucking sick to my stomach. I left right away and that image of that poor animal jerking it's legs as it hung there where forever burned into my mind. I hope they throw the fucking book at Vick and his associates. I don't know how people can engage in such deprevity for their sick enjoyment.

He is a scumbag. He murdered animals, for the sake of fun and money.

He should go to jail, the cocksucker. Really, what he did is evil. He bred and raised animals to fight to their deaths against other for the amusement of other humans, and tortured the ones to death (hang and drown) that couldnt perform for him.

Sad case of leaping to conclusions here pal. Vick hasnt been sentenced as far as I know. And "up to" 20 years RARELY ends up being 20 years. Especially for the wealthy. Vick probably won't even do time, and will even probably be playing again in a year or two. Just my guess.

Also, Im sure the preachers wife you refer to could have gotten "up to" a lot more than she got.

Federal cases require offenders to serve about 90% of thier sentence, he'll also be in medium security. This ain't no holiday inn.

There is no guarentee he'll get the low end 1.5 years either, and likely he'll be suspended from the NFL indefinately.

This is not the commissioner that let Leonard Little continue to play.

I am a diehard football and in most cases have agreed or stood by the NFL regarding player conduct. Michael Vick does not deserve a second chance whatsoever. He ran an illegal operation which killed and trained animals for gambling. Is there something I'm missing here? Just cause he can run fast, or throw a pass, does not give him exemption from US laws, NFL procedures and codes of conduct. Michael Vick should never be allowed to play in the NFL ever again - plain and simple. I'm no PETA fanatic but I find it hard for anyone to give valid, logical and rational explanation why this criminal should be given a 2nd chance whatsoever. If he does, I would be immensely disappointed in the NFL. Lastly, think to yourself, what kind of sick, cold human being (and I use that lightly) could/would kill dogs for some type of fun gambling venture? Seriously - how could anyone defend or want to back that - not to mention root for him in some fashion?

  • Any bets his career is pretty much over at this point?

This guy is one seriously sick and demented individual.

For our fantasy league this year, we introduced two new awards:

    - The "Thug Life Award" - $5 awarded when one of your players gets arrested.

    - The "Pac Man Jones 'Make It Rain!' Award" - $10 awarded (in ones) when one of your players gets arrested, and the incident included smacking a woman around

With this guilty plea, it looks like everything he has said is going to come back and bite him. This will take a major chomp out of his career and put him in the doghouse with his fans.

I think that the whole Vick thing is a potential P.R. disaster of O.J. Simpson proproptions for the NFL.........his chances with the league in the future are slim and none.

He killed many animals for enjoy and to run a gambling ring. Do you know how sick someone has to be to electricute or beat or hang an innosent animal? I'm not PETA member or something, but you have to be a sick individual to do these kind of things. Secondly, what he did was purely illegal - he broke many US laws, NFL codes of conducts and similar. He shouldn't be given another chance to play in any facet. Lastly, who in their right mind would honestly want to be rooting for someone who has acted like this? He has lived a priveledged life from the moment he left High School. Free college (in which he was reported of receiving illegal gifts), a $120 million dollar contract, tons of product deals.. and this is how he uses it? I expect he will either get a lifetime ban from the NFL, or get a sizable suspension (several yrs) in which case no one would want him when he is available because no one wants him as the face of their franchise because of how he has acted and how people will perceive it. And Vick deserves this kind of treatment (and it's not even that harsh) cause when he gets out of jail - he'll still be a millionaire. If you, I or any average Joe did something like this, our ENTIRE lives would be over. Long, serious jailtime and nothing waiting when we return... he has a gift and foresaked it for this idiocy and sick "hobby" and anything ruined in his life as a result is justice served.

I strongly suspect that you would lose that bet. His year in the big house would be allowed to count as a year's suspension....but he will end up with more than a year's suspension. If he plead guilty to gambling....he's gone.
