Pearl Jam has officially confirmed they will perform at the 2008 Bonnaroo Music Festival. The 4-day music festival will be held on June 12-15th in Manchester, Tennessee. Tickets go on sale February 16th at 12:00pm EDT, through bonnaroo.com.
Pearl Jam, Metallica, Jack Johnson, Kanye West, Alison Krauss & Robert Plant, My Morning Jacket, Willie Nelson, Phil Lesh & Friends, B.B King, Sigur Ros, The Raconteurs, and Death Cab For Cutie are among the confirmed acts for the festival. As a unique, unprecedented offer to festival fans, Bonnaroo is presenting the option to purchase a commemorative DVD of the 2008 festival at the time of ticket purchase. I can't gete over the fact that no matter what the 10C announces, there is SO MUCH BITCHING!! I'm glad they're playing, where ever it is they play and kudos to the people who get to go and enjoy it. For God's sake people, stop with the self-centered "if PJ doesn't play my back yard exclusively I'm gonna throw a tantrum" attitude!

I wish Pearl Jam would play 2 nights, but I don't think that will happen. When WSP headlined 2 nights in 2005, I believe that was stated on the initial lineup. No wording like that on the Bonnaroo site for PJ.
In retrospect, the Which stage (2nd stage) was packed for Jack Johnson in 2005, so maybe he will headline Sunday. If so he will be the first Sunday headliner I actually go see at Roo. In previous years I would just listen to them from camp and start getting things together.

LED ZEP IS NNNOOOOTTTT PLAYING!!! that has been confirmed over and over. what you read last night was a hoax and has been confirmed over and over.
pj should be headlining saturday. other than that, no other decent bands will have reasonable spots. 250 may be a good deal for a festival, but not when you take into account the heat, overcrowding and overall grossness of the people and environment after youve been sweating all day while kanye raps about snakes on a plane.
metallica has no business being on this bill. niether do half the indie/trendy/hipster bands (dcfc, bss, i&w, etc.). while i like some of them, mtv has taken a weekend of great jam/improv bands that could play 3 hour sets every day (moe., string cheese, phish, etc.) and ruined this festivals identity.
im NOT ripping into pj! all im saying is on top of the 250, there is traveling money, money lost from taking time off. not to mention daily supplies (water, food, beer, etc.)
i really hope there are more dates, if not ill wait till 09.
bottom line is, the bonnaroo ive been waiting to go to for years is officially dead. hopefully mtv doesnt get their hands on langerado next.
